the last issue of flash, at least until rebirth, has 30 pulls. i know it hasn’t been too good lately, but i thought this would be a little bit of a bigger deal.
I’ve been reading some of Mark Waid’s and Geoff Johns’ Flash runs (and freaking loving them)and I think it’s sad that a character like Wally West is going out with a wimper.
this is the last issue until rebirth? thank sweet God!!!! i dropping this anyway after this arc, this just makes it way easier. kinda sucks that they cant keep a flash run goin for longer than two years. i think after seeing john’s amazing run (and still my favorite run of his in comics PERIOD) nobody else seems to be able to write this book. its like swamp thing after alan moore. after he did that book, every other swamp thing book was shit, trying to be as important as it and failing miserably (although i do wish Mark Millar’s run was collected, i bet BKV’s book is pretty decent, and that first Andy Diggle run of the last series was pretty good)
Wally will be back and he’ll have a new costume.
What…y’all thought Rebirth was just about Barry Allen’s return?
as long as it lead to johns wrtiing another flash ongoing, it could be max mercury taking over the mantle and id still read it and love it.
As someone who grew up with Barry as the Flash with Wally taking over when I was in high school, I can honestly say I would have no problem with both characters being the Flash, but it really would not make sense to have two guys runnning around in the same costume as the same character. So I totally agree with Diabhol that Wally will take a break for a while as a hero and then will return with a new costume.
I think Wally will get a new costume and alias and will have a new series of his own. At least that’s what I’m hoping.
