I only know Firestar through "Sider-man and His Amazing Friends". I have a sense that characterization of Firestar is going to be very different, what with her being a cancer survivor in the comic book. Still, I want to see this succeed because I want Firestar succeed. Puting my money where my heart is.
Hope Miss Lion doesn’t make an appearance.
It could wreck the Pet Avengers continuity.

I want to like this for old time sake but I think I might wait to see if it’s good and get the trade, maybe?
@Reform: There won’t be a trade, it’s a one-shot.
it is only a one shot but hoepfully it will be well recieved and they will do an ongoing… Not likely but I can dream eh?
I’m sure there will be a Women of Marvel TPB at some point that collects these one-shots.
But I’m buying this anyway.
I wonder if they’ll collect a lot of these one-shots as a trade?
I liked this pretty well — love Emma Rios — but felt I was missing a littlle by not knowing the character’s history.
Firestar has always been one of my faves since Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and I’m really glad she’s back. That alone makes me want to read Young Allies. I suggest Wikipedia if you want the Readers Digest version of her history in the MU. There’s probably a list of all of the books she’s appeared in too.
this was a great read… a perfect in between Marvel Divas and the upcoming Young Allies
