  1. I like the fact the Elephant got’s the drop on Deadpool,,,these covers have been fantastic. Loved the first issue, hope the insanity continues.

  2. I love Pool as a character. Great concept that’s been horribly mishandled for too long. Hoping the quality of issue 1 keeps up.

  3. Finally, I can be proud to be a Deadpool fan again.

  4. Took me a couple of seconds to realize Teddy Roosevelt was in the cover, hence the animals.

Lovely cover, and hopefully more of the same goodness is inside.

  5. I’m hoping we get another Lyndon B. Johnson panel.

  6. I picked up issue #1 and it was interesting, in a good way. I do have a question though, is this intended to be a comedy book? I really don’t know the complete background of Dead Pool that well. I only know him from the X-men movie(s) and I have a few issues from the 90’s, I don’t remember them being like the current story.

    • Deadpool’s half-and-half. Deadpool can be played both ways (serious and comedic) sometimes at the same time. Actually, mostly at the same time.

As for this book, it does address some serious themes (if you think about it), and they seem to be straddling the line between playing the concept (the whole Dead Presidents thing) straight and for laughs.

All in all I’d call it a comic book that’s mostly comedy with enough anchoring it to make it palatable.

    • Thanks DoctorDP. I like this book and I’m going to continue getting it.

  7. Both issues are awesome. The art really captures the character and it fits the writing perfectly. I had to laugh several times during both issues.

  8. The first issue was fun. The second issue is even funnier. “At least buy me dinner first…” LOL!

  9. Loved this issue! It was better then #1 but just by a hair, sooo many funny moments haha

  10. I’m officially dropping this book. It’s not funny and the story is weak. Hopefully Deadpool will be represented better in Thunderbolts.

  11. Like I said above I like this. Issue #2 was just as good as #1, funny. Also I like the $2.99 price.

  12. The story is very weak it’s just deadpool vs zombies every issue. Leaves nothing for the reader to speculate about, don’t even find it that funny so i’m off.

  13. i don’t know. the art is fantastic. really, really solid in the art department. and there are some genuinely funny lines, BUT some of the dialogue makes me roll my eyes. like when he sings “i believe i can fly” after being punched into the air. kinda dumb.
    this still has potential.
    one more issue.

    • I am with you. I am not sure yet either, I decided to try it based on the preview for issue 1. The preview made me chuckle but I am wondering if a full book is too much for me. I agree on the dialogue as well, also, “Here comes deady clause” Just goofy. I will let it marinate and see if I decide to pick up issue 3 or not

  14. Still not a Deadpool fan, but I’m getting there! This was super funny!
