5/5. Art wasn't as strong in this issue for whatever reason, but the wri.ting was even better than issue 1, so it evens out. Love the Checkmate-ness.

You know, I love Checkmate but I don't mind if there isn't an ongoing book, as long as Checkmate turns up in books like this, then I'm happy. I want to see more of Sasha Bordeaux and Mr Terrific's good lovin'.

I urge you all to check this out, as I said in the New Comics comment thread. Eric Trautmann has such a passion for telling stories with these characters, and Don Kramer completely kills it on every level. If you're not reading this you're missing out!
