New Krypton has been a really good read so far. This must have been why Johns was talking about GI Robot in San Diego (if I remember correctly).

Yeah man, that cover is like a push-up bra -- false advertising.
Still, even without Gary Frank, Action Comics chapters have been the strongest of New Krypton & that solicit makes this issue sound awesome.

People's faces looked off in quite a few spots with respect to the art. I still gave it a 4 despite that.

Art was pretty good, story was alright. I am enjoying Robinson's issues more though. Its hard for me to get fully behind this event, but I am still enjoying it quite a bit.

The interaction between Luthor and Brainiac in this issue was near-instant-classic. It always bugged me a bit how Brainiac made Luthor his b*tch in "Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow", so Lex's comments in his issue seemed like meta payback or something.

After re-reading, I get the sneaking suspicion that they are just throwing everything on the wall to see what sticks. Creature Commandos, Nightwing & Flamebird, Doomsday, Brainiac, Lex, etc. Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying this, its just something I picked up. I suppose if you had 100,000 Kryptonians, you would HAVE to throw everything you had at them.

You'd think Didio would know what his own companies big event was.
It didn't help that this issue wasn't any good. Some of the dialogue made me laugh it was so bad. This coming from a Johns Fanboy.

I liked that this issue had lots of crazy-ass stuff thrown into it like the Creature Commandos, Nightwing/Flamebird, Lex and nekkid Doomsday..
That said, I didn't think that the art was as good as previous issues, especially the scenes in Kandor which looked a bit rushed. I'm still lovin' ma boo Supes though.

I'm not a huge fan of Woods' pencils, but apart from that, this type of comic is the reason I read superhero comics. Over the top ideas, characters & action always keep things entertaining.
I have to wonder if Braniac has green pubes, though ...

@Ruo I'm pretty sure he was referring to the fact that Superman's new origin has been a mystery since Infinite Crisis.
I liked this issue, but I almost feel like they're trying to do too much here. I feel that the results of New Krypton will be good at the expense of the story. I mean, we haven't seen much reaction from the world at large because they've been spending pages introducing Nightwing, Flamebird, Superwoman, Supergirl's Parents, telling her origin, the Guardian, Agent Liberty, Creature Commandos, Ultraa, Sam Lane, new Metallo, Reactron... man, that's a lot. It makes this story seem rushed and dragged out at the same time.
