this is definitely my pick of the week. great ending to the series. i hope they do more, it said "the first dan dare story by virgin" somewhere near the back pages.
Bloody hell what a brilliant comic ! How this wasn’t POW I’ll never know.
Had just about everything in it you could want – action, emotion and plenty of stiff-upper lip British-ness. You could tell Ennis loved writing every damn word e.g. "had worse at the Dog & Duck in Peckham".
Its a real shame he’s not continuing to write it, I heard it’s an ongoing but no idea who will be stepping into Garth’s shoes – they have a lot to live up to!
This is far beyond the pick of the week, it should be the pick of at least the first half of this year. I don’t like one of the fatalities among the main characters, but the comeuppence of the PM and the Mekon is SO fitting. Plus, Kipling! Very close to the perfect final issue to a very, very good 7 issue series.
