  1. Oh, this will be a sell-out issue at my LCS. The owner loves both Shazam and Contantine, as do many of his loyals.

I’m damned tempted to get it, too ….

  2. Trinity War tie in, should be a good one!

    • I dunno, I don’t trust Fawkes. He just seems to write generic stories. I have really enjoyed the first two Trinity War books, so I hope this might be good – but I did skip Pandora #1.

    • Does anybody know where this fits in with the Trinity War reading order? Like is it set between Parts 2 and 3 or something?

    • So far the reading order is

      Pandora #1 (Prelude)
      Justice League #22 (Part 1)
Justice League of America #6 (Part 2)
      Justice League Dark #22(Part 3)
      Constantine #5 (Tie In)

  3. Can anyone tell me if this has been any good? I love Constantine and was probably one of the only 3 people still getting it before it ended…

    • Getting HELLBLAZER, I meant.

    • I never read Hellblazer and only got my introduction to Constantine when I saw him in Justice League Dark. I really like his solo title though. He is a very interesting character that is for sure.

    • @daningotham Oh, he’s a great character! You definitely need to read Moore’s Swamp Thing if you’re unfamiliar with him. An it’s a shame: growing up, Hellblazer was one of the books I ALWAYS wanted to write for eventually. But, alas…

    • I’m a long time Hellblazer fan, and this is awful. People will read for Trinity War tie-in, but overall it’s a sad, watered down version that is trying way too hard to be edge. Dropped after the last issue.

    • @Nightwing97: Thanks, I might have to check Moore’s Swamp Thing out!

    • Oh my God please DO check out Moore’s Swamp Thing. Arguably the greatest run in comics history!

  4. Guedes isn’t my favorite artist but this was still a good issue in a consistently solid series.

  5. This issue made me laugh – and not a good laugh, but a “this is stupid” laugh. I never thought I would see John Constantine dressed up as a superhero and throwing punches. And I had high hopes for this series. The first few issues were pretty decent and I thought a nice “Hellblazer” lite series. But this one? Issue #5? I can say that the series has officially “jumped the shark”.

The Vertigo John Constantine must be rolling over in his grave.

  6. I was good with this issue until the ending. Nothing mattered! Jeezus, I mean I expected it to at least be as good as the previous 4!!! I don’t see how this will impact TW at all, everything was Status Quo by the last page.

    • Yeah, I guess really all that changed was Shazam realized he can’t trust Constantine. And we saw the ending to Mopmop. Poor Mopmop. I just really like saying Mopmop. Mopmop, Mopmop……

  7. I really enjoyed this issue. Not as much as issue #4 but really good for a tie in. This title is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
