Crossed #6 (OF 9)

Crossed #6 (OF 9)

Garth Ennis takes no prisoners and offers no hope in the most intense book of his career! Cindy's patience is tested by her own group as some horrific truths about who they were before the Crossed appeared is unveiled. How evil can people really be? Nothing is going right, but this is no fairy tale - there are no magic cures on the horizon. When civilization crumbles in one terrifying moment; when people are gleefully breaking into unthinkable acts of violence all around you; when everyone you love has died screaming in agony: What do you do? There is no help. There is no hope. There is no escape. There are only the Crossed. This stomach-churning vision is brought to vivid (and more than a little disturbing) life by his partner in crime Jacen Burrows. This sickening sixth issue is available with a Regular or Wraparound cover by Burrows as well as a rare Red Crossed Edition by Burrows.

Writer: Garth Ennis
Artist: Jacen Burrows

Price: $3.99

I love this book.  So many people want to candycoat apocalyptic situations.  I know that sounds a bit ridiculous, but things would be much much worse in the aftermath of an infectious disease than what people would like to realize.

always a fun book. I love the premise.

Last issue had no gore or "shocking" moments, so does that means this issue will hit us twice as hard? I hope so. =D

This was delayed, right?

@William has been since the beginning.  It comes out usually about 1 or 2 weeks after it's originally posted to release.  Not sure why.

One of the few book ever to genuinely shock me...I love it.

Anyone know how many issues it will be?

I've never watched Old Yeller, but I assume it's just like this issue.

@trouville77: 9 or 9-1/2 if you count issue zero.

9 is going to have extra pages and a $4.99 price tag.

I nominate the 1st panel of page 10 as the most single brutal comic panel of 2009.
And I nominate the new guy in the hat the character I most wanna see get killed & ass raped by the crossed.

@WW: I agree, the new guy is pretty annoying.

I am loving this book. For me, it turned a corner in this issue from very good to great. Some of the earlier issues felt like they were just trying to be shocking for the sake of shock IMHO. Felt more like Walking Dead than it has before, and that's not a bad thing.
