Crossed #3 (OF 9)
Garth Ennis has pulled out all the stops to write the most twisted book of his career, Crossed! Cindy and her small band of survivors are facing impossible odds, dwindling resources, and a dearth of options. Forced to keep moving, the group travels from one small town to the next, encountering only a handful of remaining humans in the midst of the Crossed outbreak. But the dire state of society has forced some people to do horrible things - and the few humans left may be capable of greater evils than the Crossed themselves. What can Cindy turn a blind eye to, and what must be stopped, at any cost? Nothing is going right, but this is no fairy tale - there are no magic cures on the horizon. When civilization crumbles in one terrifying moment; when people are gleefully breaking into unthinkable acts of violence all around you; when everyone you love has died screaming in agony: What do you do? There is no help. There is no hope. There is no escape. There are only the Crossed. This gut-wrenching vision is brought to vivid (and more than a little disturbing) life by his partner in crime Jacen Burrows. This terrifying third issue is available with a Regular or Wraparound cover by Burrows as well as a rare Red Crossed Edition featuring a striking Black, White and Red cover by Burrows.

This is some demented shit in these books.
Posted by FiascoRodriguez on 01/26/09 at 07:30 PMI almost never post to the comments, but this book is like an intersate highway multicar pileup...with sodomy.
I cant help but buy it
Posted by Gaumer on 01/26/09 at 08:56 PMWell, I don't consider myself a hardcore Ennis fan, so we'll see if he keeps me interested. For now I look forward to my next dose of Crossed.
Posted by missmisery on 01/26/09 at 10:15 PMThe first 2 issues of this I thought it was just another zombie book (but with Ennis crazy shit thrown in) but after the last issue, I'm fully on board. Not only is it a twist on the usual zombie ideas, but Ennis is doing what he does best -- great character stuff mixed with very dark humour.
Posted by WadeWilson on 01/26/09 at 10:58 PMI mean, there are bullets soaked in jizz. Garth has serious, serious issues.
Love em!
Posted by FiascoRodriguez on 01/27/09 at 02:54 PMMy LCS never has this in stock the day of release. Big bummer =/
Posted by Fvckstick on 01/28/09 at 07:46 PMAccording to my LCS this didn't ship yet.
Posted by WetWork on 01/29/09 at 12:39 AMFor some reason my LCS always gets this title a week late too. Can't wait.
Posted by comicdork37 on 01/29/09 at 05:26 PMMind didn't have it either. How often is it supposed to come out? Once ever 8 weeks?
Posted by Brandon2 on 01/31/09 at 03:13 PMI asked my LCS why this book is always late for them and he said it is because Diamond has 3 main distributing warehouses that tend to get some of the smaller company (i.e. Avatar) books at different times for some reason thus while some areas of the country get the book "on time" the rest get it a week later. Just FYI. It's Diamond's fault.

Solid book for the twisted like me. But at $3.99, i'm starting to think only the hardcore ennis fans will stick by this to #9.
