Buck Rogers 0
Join us as we present comicdom's first hero -- Buck Rogers... the first man out of time... the first man to be taken out of his present environment and put into the future!
In the tradition of such best-selling introductory Dynamite launches as Red Sonja and Battlestar Galactica, Dynamite is launching the all-original #0 issue for just .25 cents!
Under a John Cassaday cover (Cassaday serves as series cover artist), writer Scott (Batman) Beatty and artist Carlos Rafael present an original 12 page comic book adventure - "The Death of Buck Rogers"! This is where it all begins and Dynamite's plans for Buck Rogers follow the that they've followed over the years beginning with Red Sonja, embracing the history of such classic characters, but giving them a modern edge for today's audiences! All this, and for a quarter to introduce you to the new canon of Buck Rogers!
Look for the Alex Ross Sneak Peek cover, featuring a look at Ross' cover to issue #1 of the Dynamite series!

I don't know anything about Buck Rogers, but I've loved Lone Ranger and Zorro, and Sherlock Holmes looks sweet. For 25 cents I am definitely giving this a try.
Posted by Andrew on 04/20/09 at 06:52 PMShoot, for 25 cents I'll try anything.
Posted by miyamotofreak on 04/20/09 at 07:18 PM25 cents? Eh.....why not?
Posted by TheNextChampion on 04/20/09 at 07:22 PMI don't think I will like this, despite enjoying many books from this publisher. Sorry.
What?
25 CENTS?
Yea, please pull that for me, Mr Comic Shop Man

Posted by voodoomama on 04/20/09 at 10:15 PMI want a space suit like that one. Glowing lines are awesome.
Posted by BatStewie on 04/21/09 at 10:02 AMI am buying this soley and only for Cassaday's cover. Beautiful...
Posted by OttoBott on 04/21/09 at 10:31 AMThis was a lot more interesting until I read that it was 12 pages... but it's still just a quarter, so why not.
Posted by Slockhart on 04/21/09 at 02:17 PMWow. I wasn't expecting much from this but the CBR preview makes it look...well...awesome...
Posted by OttoBott on 04/21/09 at 09:28 PMCan't beat the price, definitely gonna give the series a shot for a couple of issues at least.
Posted by PhantomPhrenemy on 04/22/09 at 01:34 AMI know nothing about Buck Rogers, and this one-shot didn't really help the matter! Granted, i know he's a pulp hero transported to the future, but I didn't feel it in reading the pages. It was a fun Sci-Fi story, but not enough to make me want to spend $3.5 to $3.99 a month on it. Sorry Dynamite. 3/5
Posted by PraxJarvin on 04/22/09 at 06:26 PMThis is funny my LCS gave this away for free. I will at least check out #1 since its Buck
