Ah bummer, Williams isn’t finishing out the Wonder Woman crossover on art? McCarthy is a good fill in to be sure, but still…
Yeah, that is a bummer.
As was said below JHW3 is taking this one issue break so that he can finish out this arc on Batwoman.
I’ll likely be dropping BW after this arc, seeing that Williams is not drawing this issue…ugg.
It’s just a single issue break. He’s coming back to finish the arc after this. We’ll get another 2 or 3 issues of the special one after this.
I love Batwoman. So looking forward to Chase. I also want much more Maggie.
McCarthy’s previous issues of Batwoman were good. No one can bring what Williams can, but McCarthy does an admirable job.
This. Shockingly, I’ve found myself more drawn to his storytelling, and his take on the character, than his art even. And THAT is saying something I thought was impossible.
I honestly hated this. Not the art but the lack of economy of storytelling, it’s just so effing wordy, Batwoman essentially has a cameo in her own book, it all just grinds the arc to a halt.
Yeah I agree. This was basically a whole bunch of Maggie thinking and reacting. It didn’t add to much to the ongoing story or to Maggie as a character, which is too bad. The biggest problem is I forget what happened last issue, and this didn’t even bother to check in on Kate and WW, so by next month the story will have lost all it’s momentum.
Great art can only do so much, and for me Batwoman is dangerously close to getting dropped, because the story just isn’t very engaging.

Wasn’t a fan of this issue. Last issue with Batwoman and Williams on art I gave it 5 stars. This issue with only 2 pages of Batwoman and Williams on art it dropped to 3 stars for me. Can’t wait for next issue to get back to normal.
