When is it Winick’s last issue?
I’m not sure. I think it’s coming soon. Maybe January?
Man! Sh*T happens so fast in this book. I don’t want to spoil anything for you, but Batwing IS NEVER PREDICTABLE. It’s why I eagerly await every month.
The lead in to the splash page was pretty cool, Probably done before, but it worked well.
What was that “amulet” thing Dawn put around Batwing’s neck to break the possession? (Love her “light” sword/saber).
Turns out David/Batwing knows Dawn from his time in the children’s shelter.
Uh…Father Lost’s “costume?” Sort of Adam Ant-ish. But Dude can rip a beating heart out of your chest.
Oh, and somebody gets Kilt…
I don’t know if Winnick’s replacement can keep up the pace…I love the pace.
The series kicked off really well with the interesting and complex antagonist ‘Massacre’ but, since then, its taken me a while to warm to the last couple of villains in this series.
On the one hand, I really like that Batwing is getting his own African rogues gallery, on the other, they have seemed a bit ‘patched together’ at times. Father Lost actually has quite a bit of potential though. I’m looking forward to seeing more of him soon and finding out his backstory.
Personally, I can’t wait to see Batwing face off against Ra’s Al Ghul. That will be exciting.
I’m said Winick is leaving as he is doing a great job.
