  1. I must say I am VERY curious about what will happen to these characters!

  2. Has anything been announced regarding the future of this book following this special?

    • Batman Inc. is dead and won’t be continuing in a significant way after this. This issue should be pretty decent though. They are kinda just throwing fans of the other Batmen of the world a bone with this anthology. I doubt we’ll see much from them in the future. They are having a hard enough time getting Batwing to stick.

    • With few exceptions, Morrison’s superhero work is largely ignored by those that follow him. Which is a shame because, love him or hate him, you have to admit that he’s an idea man at the very least.

He almost has his own line of DC continuity at this point. Observant fans of his will notice threads and ideas that carry through almost every major DC work he’s ever done. Which lends itself to a unique type of consistency (not to mention fun) in my opinion.

  3. I am praying this is going to be good. Cause the last time an issue with Batman Incorporated without Grant Morrison as the writer did not end well at all.

  4. Bat-Cow is a GIRL? 😉

  5. I’d be happy if a special like this came out quarterly. Beryl, El Gaucho, Man-of-Bats, and all the rest are great characters. I bet Sholly Fisch and Bryan Q. Miller could tell some fun stories with the guys and girls and pets of Batman Inc.!

  6. Loved the Batcow story!

  7. JOHN PAUL LEON HAS A STORY IN THIS!!! and it’s good! why is no one shouting this from a rooftop!|?:)

  8. This was a lot of fun! All of the shorts had some really good stories and the art in all of them were really good. Declan Shalvey bookcases them and boy it makes me excited to see more of his take on Batman. We get, probably, one last Burnham art on Batman INC and his story was much better this time around for Jiro. There was a good Squire story and also the Native American Batman’s. I hope we get more of these guys somehow in the future of Batman books cause it reminds me how many great supporting characters Morrison put into this run.

Oh and Dan Didio and Ethan Van Sciver wins with a fantastic Bat-Cow story. That alone makes this a must buy anthology.

    4/5

  9. I was enjoying the opening story but Burnham ruined it with one too many corny jokes. I would actually like to see a regular title about the Batman of Japan and I think Chris would do great drawing it and plotting it. He might even turn into a decent writer if an editor reigned him in some. His basic ideas have a very unique flavor to them and could prove to be a real hit with fans. The rest of the special was mediocre. The Bat Cow story was mildly entertaining.
