  1. If you are enjoying the tv series, then you’ll enjoy this issue! Fast-paced with lots of action, backstory, and future plot hints.

  2. I gotta disagree with Jon Q, just because you enjoy the show (Which I do enormiously) does not mean you will enjoy this comic. Frankly I’m not sure it really deserves your money, but thats neither here nor there. For $3.99, you get 3 stories in this one issue. The first is a rehash of scenes from earlier this season has Oliver recounts to his Father’s grave how is mission is going and how it is affecting those around him. Since this was already explained on the show, and adds nothing new I have to wonder why it was included at all. A caption box wouldn’t have sufficed? All the information was in the first 2 episodes, so again I ask why was this even published as the first story? The second is much better, and the only one I enjoyed. It’s another of Oliver’s names off his list, taken from his target’s POV. It doesn’t add anything groundbreaking, but it emulates the show and tells a nice story that fits the narrative. The third is China White’s origin I guess, and this was the story that made me realize how little I care about the character (So far). In the show all I can recall is that she is some assassin working for the Triad who happens to be a DC character. For me the third chapter in the comic that serves as her origin is unoriginal and kinda pointless, unless you happen to crave to know the backstory of the asian woman in the white hair’s backstory. I wanted to like this comic, since I am a big fan of the show, but this was not worth buying for me. I may check out the next issue, but Jeff Lemire is taking over “Green Arrow” with #16 and my money is that will be the better comic series for Oliver Queen. My 2 cents.
