  1. Wasn’t there an issue of Namor last year where he was stuck in the desert?

Even still the last issue was amazing and I expect more of the same here.

  2. Flash923 Flash923 says:

Aquaman now equals AWESOME! Say what you want however I think he has finally found someone who knows how to write him! I also really like the artwork in this title as well!!

  3. Dr.Casanova says:

If Aquaman doesn’t bite a buzzards neck like that time in greatest comic moments in history i will call “fowl”. Good god, was that an awful pun.

  4. JimBilly4 JimBilly4 says:

I hope he finds a goat and sprays his face with goat milk to stay alive. That would be the stuff.

  5. robbydzwonar robbydzwonar says:

I never expected to be picking up an Aquaman title on a monthly basis and not complaining. This is so cool.

  6. kcekada says:

Hardly th efirst time we had a good monthly does of Aquaman (see Peter David’s run), but I am a fan of this one as well, so far. As with Batwoman, it demonstrates that it wasn’t necessary to start from scratch with these characters.

  7. Epic says:

While I am as surprised as everyone else to be enjoying an Aquaman book, and I do enjoy it, there has been a noticeable lack of character development in this series. The first issue was ripe with personality and exposition, but in 2-4 Aquaman as a character seemed to take backseat to the action. I realize it is way to early to make any qualitative judgements, I will continue to follow this title for the art alone, but at this point, I’m not really sure who Aquaman is, and that’s a big problem for me.

  8. Flash923 Flash923 says:

Kinda hard for character development when your trying not to get eaten or get everyone else eaten. I expect there will be a little more character development in this issue. Me personaly I get it, I like it, Aquaman is just fine by me.

  9. skafactor says:

not really enjoying the series but i bought a 12 issue mail subscription so i’m stuck with it. at least i’m only paying a buck an issue.

  10. NRD NRD says:

My fascination with Aquaman really kicked off during the run of Brightest Day so I’m quite a new fan but Geoff Johns is doing great work with him to make him likeable and to make him a genuine hero who fans can be proud of.

I’ve enjoyed the first issues so far and I’m aiming to stick with this until such times that I’m uninterested (obviously) but saying as I’m a new fan, I can’t see that happening anytime soon.

  11. Spoons Spoons says:

I jumped after last issue and am going to let a few issues come out and see what everyone is saying. At least I don’t have to worry about this one getting canceled right?

  12. GunnerAsh GunnerAsh says:

I wasn’t sure what to expect at the start of this new arc, but I gotta say I LOVED this. Reis’s art was top-notch, some of the best stuff I’ve ever seen him do. I liked the story a lot too, and I’m really looking forward to where this book’s headed. Never thought I’d enjoy Aquaman so much.

  13. AquaPimp82 AquaPimp82 says:

What a cliffhanger of an ending! What brand of dog food will Mera buy? I can’t what for next month!

  14. cubsmodano cubsmodano says:

Another great issue. I agree that the character development could be slightly better, really most of the best moments have been character moments so far (the scenes in the restaurant, seeing his dad, etc.).

  15. Flash923 Flash923 says:

This issue had as I tought huge amounts of character development and at one point thought there was more than enough. I like seeing Aquaman and Mera and thier dog develop slowly over each issue and have more action and adventure. To much of this development may cause a return to the old whinny Aquaman which no one wants right?

  16. rocknrolla says:

Why was aquaman attacked by the guys from Halo???

  17. sitara119 sitara119 says:

i was hoping that he would run into jim morrison out in the desert somewhere….
this was very entertaining. i learned a lot about arthur in the delirious scene when he was talking to his dead father. those fears of his may already be well documented under other writers, but i’m new to aquaman so those where great character building moments for me.
lots of action and personality = lots of fuckn’ fun.

  18. sitara119 sitara119 says:

    aquaman weighs 325lbs?!
    WTF?

    • AquaPimp82 AquaPimp82 says:

Muscle weighs more than fat. I also think it has something to do with him living on the ocean floor, with the greater pressure and what not.

  19. rocknrolla says:

I thought aquaman lived in New England, possibly Rhode Island “the ocean state” and in issue 1 he thwarted those bank robbers in Boston, (my neck of the woods woot) ok. So in this issue he boards that atlantean plane and in the space of several minutes or less he’s in the southwest? What? Am I missing something? Was his starting point actually on the west coast or what??

    • sitara119 sitara119 says:

aquaman’s lighthouse is at Amnesty bay which, like most of dc’s cities, is not a real place. i’ve never actually seen anyone make a dc map, so i have no idea of it’s geographic location or even if it is congruent to our map

    • sitara119 sitara119 says:

it is a fine question, though. with the whole boston thing, i also thought he was in the northeast somewhere.
perhaps the halo guys have advanced tech( it is atlantean, right?) and have the capability to travel at high speeds.

  20. rocknrolla says:

Right I’m guessing that amnest bay yeah is in the northeast, ya know during the trench arc I kinda got a vibe like this could be that town from jaws or something. So if that’s true then the only explanation I could think of would be A. That ship was flying extremely fucking fast or B. Arthur was hanging out on the wing for quite some time. Either way it coulda been cleared up with one sentence (thou I know Johns don’t like too many words on the page). I’d still give it a solid 4 out of 5 thou

  21. JimBilly4 JimBilly4 says:

Another possiblity: The DC United States has a large desert in the Northeast.

  22. CrimsonBlur CrimsonBlur says:

Always liked the old Aquaman stories, being 15 most of the newer stories were terrible when I was little.. He had a beard and a hook…..Since brightest day we know have the old Aquaman back!!!!!! LONG LIVE THE KING
