Spider-Man by Amancay Nahuelpan
Punk Rock Jesus by Matteo Scalera
Jedi Master Skywalker by Phil Noto
Invisible Woman by Logan Faerber
Storm Shadow by Robert Atkins
Assassins Creed by Patrick Brown
Abe Sapien by James Harren
Anton Chigurh by Augie Pagan
I really like that Luke Skywalker one by Phil Noto, I hope they decide to go with that kind of look for Luke in the new movie.
Agreed awesome
Nearly popped a hernia when I first saw it. It somehow encapsulates EVERYTHING I want to see out of the new films. He’s got a Struzan-esque ability of capturing more than just the likeness of a man, has Phil Noto. There’s a regal weariness about the old boy, but still with pure steel in those eyes. I really hope someone shows it to JJ Abrams.
I didn’t think I could be more excited about a new Star Wars movie until I saw Noto’s picture.
^^ I agree with you pyynk, really can’t wait to see Master Luke.
If nothing else, get Noto on a Star Wars book, stat.
Anton Chigurh by Augie Pagan and Spider-Man by Amancay Nahuelpan are my favorites this week.
OK Marvel needs to put Amancay Nahuelpan on an upcoming arc of Superior Spider-Man NOW!
I know, that is amazing!
I’m going to go re-read Punk Rock Jesus now.
Damn you Marvel, I need a Spider-Man book by Amancay Nahuelpan right f’ing NOW!
“Don’t put it back in your pocket, sir. If you put it in your pocket, it will just get mixed up with all the others and become just a coin. Which it is.”
Nice spread this week. Noto wins again, but that Assassin’s Creed piece uses some beautiful colors. Good stuff.
The Skywalker piece reminded me I hadn’t checked Phil Noto’s blog in a while. Just corrected that. He is freakin’ good.
Awesome weekly sketch up. I love Scalera and Phil Noto period, Scalera’s work on Remenders Secret Avengers was great and so is that PRJ sketch. Noto doesn’t draw anything bad, his Uncanny X-Men variant this week was killer. That Abe Sapien is f@#kn awesome, I wanna see him go Rambo in a BPRD story. Point of origin and depth perception on that Spidey is beautiful too.
