  1. Is she actually feeling her own breast? Why am I even surprised? For those who don’t care about the excellent writing of RIck Remender, you can always use this as whacking material!

  2. Ive seen both covers It’s like Marvel is trying to publish smut mags if Marvel Now is just gonna be a bunch of T&A if I wanted that I would go pull out all my Gen13 issues from the 90’s.

    • I just wanna say, as a fan of perverted comics, Gen13 was too tame for me. Sure there were a couple bikini adventures early on, mostly it actually wasn’t all that sexy.

And of course, it’s zany to call this smut, but I’m just sayin’ folks.

  3. Hello there.

  4. The ol’ Marvel Spank Bank

  5. That’s gotta be the most attractive scarlet witch drawing ever.
Well, if that doesn’t make the book sell, I don’t know what can.
I mean, the marvel zombies are gonna love it, because it’s Remender and he’s awesome. The rest because it’s avengers and x-men. And the drooling teenagers because of this.

  6. at this point, having a female superhero posing with her arm covering her ass is a huge win

This cover isn’t colored properly. The sky should be azure beneath the “G-E” in Avengers. Even so, I love this cover. What a design! Great job framing the character.

    • Looks like it is supposed to be clouds or a nebula or something.

By the way….extra points for noticing anything other than SW.

@RobotZombie – I see what you mean about the color inside the letters being a good match for the stars. That spot is the brightest point on the cover. I think I see it shining out and lighting up the back of The Scarlet Witch’s hair. I’m grateful to Marvel for using heavenly bodies in order to promote this new series.

  8. Can’t even tell it’s penciled. Looks like a CG character out of a video game.

  9. it’s a nice looking cover, but I’d like to see a variant maybe with the whole team.

  10. It’s like Zenescope, except not horrible!

There is also a Milo Manara variant (“an Italian comic book writer and artist, best known for his erotic approach to the medium.” – Wikipedia)

In Italy Manara is very famous. His books are aimed at adult readers and are sold in book stores, not comic shops.

  12. Nothing says “Strong Female Superhero” like a pinup of an underwear model in fetish gear posing like a lingerie ad. Doesn’t this just scream “Magic! Mystery! Saving the world!”

Marvel Comics would like to say to everyone “You’re welcome, ladies!”

  13. I thought she got a costume change?

    • Never, it’s too classic. Though whenever I see it, it does kind of stand out how notably sexy it is. Not that this is a problem, magicy characters can do what they want, they don’t need practical wear.

    • She did (or will when Uncanny Avengers comes out, rather). This is just a variant cover. Continuity need not apply.

  14. dude, she’s hot. She’s supposed to be hot. That’s why they draw her hot.
why must we always go into ‘gripe’ mode about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

In the words of Jules, “Bitch be cool!”

the art is amazing, looks like an actual photograph. we should be praising the art and artist not looking for something to be cynical about.

  15. She looks exactly like the actress that played Scarlet Witch in the Avengers movie this summer… Um. Not the one in theaters… I think it’s called Avengers 30…. Or Avengers XXX… Danni Cole. Yeah.

  16. I love the fact that her wonky hairpiece has been turned into a modified version of Magneto’s helmet.
