Trailer: ‘Man of Steel’ – “Fate of Your Planet”

In the latest trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, Zod and his task force set down an ultimatum for Superman and the people of Earth. It’s the most explosive trailer yet, a riotous point of contrast to the more somber showcases of recent weeks. We also hear from the alluring Antje Traue’s Faora for the first time, and Clark lets loose some scorching heat vision.

Let’s take a look.

The dirty laundry of Krypton is aired on Earth next month on June 14th.

Oh my god! So excited right now!

  2. I was watching a youtube discussion lately that reminded me of this Superman movie project that has never been made (the one with Nick Cage as Superman I believe). Apparently the idea for the movie was that Krypton did not get destroyed and that Clark was send to earth as some kind of messiahs or because he was supposed to be a kind of god on Krypton as well. In the video they mentioned the possibility that this story influenced “Man of Steel”.

And this trailer makes it look a lot like that could actually happen. Although I really hope it doesn’t. Call me old fashioned, but I wan’t to see a traditional blown up Krypton with only a hand full of Kryptonian survivors 😉

But I’m still very excited and now probably even more intrigued than before.

    • I think we have seen Krypton blown up over and over, variety is the spice of life (well not for fanboys it seems).
How cool would it be if Kara(Supergirl) was in a sequel….Spoilers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>she’s in the prequel comic for MoS.

      Anyway…That trailer was sweeeeet!!!

    • They better not change too much or people will freak like they did on Star Trek Into Darkness…

    • From what I understand, it was the movie not changing enough that’s the main problem with “Into Darkness”.

  3. Wooo! Alright, I think it’s time to go dark on this movie until I see it.

    • I am also not one of those people who likes to know everything about a movie before I see it.

    • Yeah, I think this will be the last trailer or preview that I watch. Really don’t need any more than that, actually kind of wish I didn’t see this…

  4. Not that Superman always needs to solve problems with his fists, but it’s nice to be reminded that he can pack a serious punch when needed. This ain’t “Superman Returns” for sure!

  5. Zod’s role seems an awful lot like the villain in Superman: Earth One. Hope this turns out better than that did. The action looks amazing. Really excited

  6. Wow.

This movie will take the summer.

  7. I cant’ believe I WANT to watch a Superman movie. But DAMN I do!

  8. Man; if Superman comics could be this cool, I’d be in hog-heaven.

    • Read All Star Superman, Superman Birthright and Camelot Falls and you are good on that front. He is a great character, IF you have the right writer, with the right angle on him.

    • Camelot Falls would definitely be a good place to start. It’s got the same blockbuster feel as these previews.

    • Camelot Falls – one of my favorite Superman stories ever, Kurt Busiek is a beast, Pacheco was born to draw Superman.

  9. Remember how some folks were complaining about the lack of big action in the previous movie? Looks like that’s not the case here.

This is the summer movie I’m waiting to see. I may even take the day off work to go. THAT’S how much I want to see this movie.

  10. Still excited, but this is quite the tone change from the previous trailers. And (sigh of begrudging relief) at least I won’t have to hear a bunch of meatheads complain that Supes didn’t punch anything this time around…

  11. I can’t wait to get home to watch this! I am such a mark for Superman :p

  12. This superman looks like a screamer. Im still glad to see him throw a punch. Can’t wait

  13. This is the last trailer for this movie for me till opening day. June 14th is too close to see more.
