Sweet, sweet man-on-bear action for all-ages in the old west. That's what we're all about here at the iFanboy brownstone. Thankfully Shane & Chris ('dem dastardly Houghton brothers) have set aside all moral considerations and unleashed Reed Gunther and his trusty steed Sterling the bear upon an unsuspecting comics market. It's how the west is won. It's how the west is fun (apologies to Mary-Kate and Ashley).
Now I won't lie to you. I missed the first two issues of Reed Gunter earlier this summer, but due to looking at this fine teaser comic from Image and the Houghton gang, I aim to make the correction this very day. I like what my eyes are relaying to me and I like the Houghton's smart interpretation of the "All-Ages" concept. Strong enough for a man, PH balanced for the kiddies. No bear pants. Monsters a plenty.
Of all the teasers we've seen this week, this is the one that does it right.

I loved the first issue of this book, but I’m finding it hard to get hold of #2 and #3. My comic shop doesn’t seem to be able to get them.
I wish there were more “All-Ages” stuff being put out. “All-Ages” doesn’t automatically mean just for kids. Sadly you hardly see AA books. Want to see growth in this industry we love? How about not writing off the young audience?
I heard Nathan Fillion is gonna grow a handlebar mustache and play Reed Gunther in the Reed Gunther movie.

I love this comic, and started reading it on the web a year or two ago. The cartooning is great and the stories are a lot of fun
