Comments

  1. Interesting…didn’t think of this match up. Are we going with First Class Emma Frost that had her diamonds crushed by brass?

  2. Neat teaser…but still on the DC bandwagon. It’ll take more than Hero v. Hero to get me back into Marvel.

  3. I’m not excited at all about this new Marvel event. I’m afraid it will be just a huge amount of marketing, with a lack of quality. I hope it’s not.

  4. This image doesn’t really make sense in vein of the new Hulk storyline. Red Hulk maybe, but Green Hulk would have no interest in fighting the X-Men.
I guess I’ll be skipping another Marvel event.

    • Well, at this point we don’t know why anyone would want to fight anyone between these two teams, right? We won’t know until the story happens.

    • That’s a good point @Conor. I’ve just been a fan of the new Green Hulk book and their treatment of Hulk. Calm, bearded, and no more purple pants. That image just reverts back to an older Hulk version that isn’t too interesting to me.

  5. Wolverine vs Wolverine?

  6. As has been proven time and time again, Hulk is strongest one there is*. My money is on him.

Call me crazy, but I’m sort of looking forward to this series, especially if actual winners are decided during these bouts. Could be fun.

    * Well, Superman beat him once but maybe Hulk had a cold that day or something.

  7. Who is the artist that drew the Black Widow vs. Psylocke cover? Leinel Yu?

  8. new cover on newsarama,

    rouge vs ms marvel.

  9. Winter’s what’s coming right…right?

  10. If the Spider-Man vs. Iceman issue features a guest appearance by Firestar, make mine Marvel!

  11. Updated with more images.

  12. Sending the Hulk after Emma is a genius move on Captain America’s part. Her biggest weapon is her psychic powers and Hulks mind is a wasteland of death and destruction. Good luck Ms. Frost, you’re going to need it.

  13. Nice to see Beast and Storm stuck with the X-Men. I’m hoping this means Wolverine ends up on that side too.

  14. I’m disappointed to see Beast on the X-side, I was afraid it would happen some day. As far as the Hulk goes, this is a Bendis event, it doesn’t matter what is going on in other books.

  15. It’s hard to pick which match up I want to see the most.

  16. I see Emma Frost beating the Hulk’s psyche on the astral plane. Unless of course he pounds her into coal briquettes first.
Also, no Colossus/Juggernaut? Golden opportunity missed!

    • Colossus is Juggernaut. How would that work?

He’s fighting Red Hulk in the double-spread that’s been in all the Marvel books this month. So you’ll get your fix.

  17. Except for Iron Man vs Magneto; I could care less about any of these fights that may be happening.

  18. It really annoys me how readily people dismiss everything… This looks like fun. Remember fun, guys? Jeez.

Anyway… Super excited for mags vs iron man AND spidey vs iceman!

    • This doesn’t look like fun. You want fun? Read “Daredevil.” You want guilty pleasure fun? Read “Batman: Odyssey.’ This looks like a soulless, contrived event and the boring, badly designed, and stiffly drawn art really doesn’t help. Also, “It’s Coming?” Yeah, so is my next visit to the dentist. Doesn’t mean I’m looking forward to it.

    • It does look like fun though, just not to you. You can’t tell another person what they think is fun. jesus christ man i know this is the internet but one person’s idea of fun is not another.

    • I’m just saying, not every one has to condemn it MONTHS before it hits the shelves!

  19. I was confused at some of the cover match-ups, but then I remembered that these are Marvel Comics and that the cover can often not mean anything.

  20. Looks like Thor is back after his lame death in Fear Itself.

  21. I am interested in the idea of this, and the lineups. Some are not what I would have chosen, but that’s all subjective and I am sure that others disapprove of the ones that I like. But my issue is whether or not there will actually be victors of each fight, or just “victors.” I want this to be full of really fun and exciting, but if Marvel takes the cop out of having stalemates or draws, well, that would be uninspired.

Long story short, I am going to wait and see how at least the first issue’s fight shapes up before I plop down my sheckles.

  22. I feel this is just a waste of money…….it’s not the first time Marvel does this type of event between these 2 teams. I think Marvel need some new writers and come up with a bunch of new Villains. The Planet Hulk story line was awesome!

  23. That image of Iron Man v. Magneto looks epic. Otherwise, I’m really apathetic toward the whole thing. It looks to be like a bunch more 3.99-4.99 books I’ll be skipping in the coming months.

  24. The Archangel vs Daredevil one makes no sense…

  25. If there is a Secret Avengers vs. Uncanny X-force, I really hope Brian and Betsy get their own private fight, concerning the Kid Apocalypse situation.
