I'm going to cut right to the chase, as the cover to the right of this text is pretty clear. Image Comics will be publishging a Macgyver miniseries.
MacGyver is a show that has become a bit of a joke in and of itself, but even as young as I am I remember a time when that one hour with Richard Dean Anderson was a powerful force in my life on the couch. MacGyver really was an inspiration in that he was a man who could think on his feet and use science to solve his problems. What does this mean for the comic? In my minds eye I imagine something like Jonah Hex if he were nicer and more of a 90's era handyman.
The creative team involves Tony Lee, in collaboration with the creator of the TV version of MacGyver, writing stories to be illustrated by the wonderful Becky Cloonan. The book comes out from Image next summer. Interestingly, this is the first time I can remember Image doing a licensed property, so I'm curious how the business behind the scenes went down, but really I'm just hoping for some good comics.
And for those of you too young to remember, here's the opening credits to the original show. If these don't inpsire and excite… well I just don't know.

Jeezus Becky Cloonan is going to draw this?!? man… now im going to have buy a MaGyver comic
