Comments

  1. Sweet news, been a big fan of Kelly since Sandman.

  2. Amazing amazing amazing!!!! I already love this book and now I’m even more excited!!!! Some of Kelly’s best work has been with Wood. Local is one of, if not my number one, all time favorite comic. It’ll be great to see how he handles these big, sci-fi vistas.

  3. Looks good!

  4. Wow

  5. This is good.

Not too familiar with Kelly’s work, but this book needs a new artist.

    • Agreed. If it looks as good as these examples, can we do a kickstarter to get Kelly to redraw 1-6? LOL

    • If you like what you see I highly suggest both Local (also written by Wood) and the current Saucer Country which just (sort of) ended it’s run. He also did a short arc on DMZ and Northlanders (also written by Wood) and both were great, particular the DMZ story.

  6. I see the first trade is out in July that has issues #1-6, and #7 is out that month too. Perfect jumping out point for me.

  7. Well, I may be staying on this title after all…

  8. Huge fan of Kelly, but if i have any complaint, it’s that his women all kinda look the same. BUT it’s actually kinda perfect for Leia, so wooohoo!

  9. Really excited by this. Had a feeling this might happen. He’s had a “Star Wars Inspiration” board on Pinterest for a while.

    • Probably not to the extent of Steve Dillon (JK – I don’t have a problem with Steve Dillon). Kelly’s Threepio and Vader are MUCH more to my liking.
