FIRST LOOK: X-Men Schism #4 by Jason Aaron & Alan Davis

The X-Men sumer event, Schism, is in full gear as Jason Aaron teams up with a rotating cast of artists to bring us the event that will define the future of the X-Men and bring a conflict between Wolverine and Cyclops.  The first 3 issues have featured Carlos Pacheco, Frank Cho and Daniel Acuna, but with the next issue, X-Men: Schism #4, it’s the moment I’ve been waiting for…Alan Davis.

As a huge X-Men fan AND a huge Alan Davis fan, you can image how excited I was to snag this preview of X-Men: Schism #4 to share with you. Finished and colored art from Alan Davis shows that the master has still got it. Coming off of Avengers Prime, which I believe was some of Davis’ greatest work, X-Men: Schism #4 looks to be more of that same amazing Alan Davis style.  Check out the art below!

X-Men: Schism #4 costs $3.99 and goes on sale in comics shops on September 21, 2011.

  5. Wow! Those pages are amazing! So happy that I finally gave in to Ron’s suggestions to give the X-Books a try after many. many. many years away. The first 2 issues were very good and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the mini-series now.

  6. been hearing alot of buzz here about this title, and that’s impressive for san antonio. going to check it out

  7. Ok I’m gonna call it & say that this is the best X-Men event ever! And Alan Davis just makes it that much better!

  8. These pages remind me of Uncanny X-Men #213 when Davis drew the conclusion of the Mutant Massacre (Wolverine vs. Sabretooth). Good editorial call to have him penciling this issue.
