PREVIEW: Vampire Harpooning in Mike Mignola’s ‘Baltimore: The Plague Ships’

Just in time for Shark Week, one peg-legged vampire-slayer is ready to man the harpoons!

Tomorrow sees the first issue in Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden's Baltimore: The Plague Ships, a 5-issue mini-series that fills in some of the nooks and crannied from their gothic novel Baltimore; or the Steadfast Tin Soldier. You need not have read the original novel to enjoy a WWI revenge tale featuring a one-legged badass poking holes in some proto-nazi bloodsuckers. You just need functioning eyes and a gut.

Here's a look at Witchfinder artist Ben Stenbeck's gorgeous pages. Dig that red, my friends.

Bring it!

  8. This looks great. Can’t wait. There really aren’t enough WWI era stories out there (compared to say WWII) despite it being one of the most horrifically fascinating times in world history.
