Preview: Star Wars Legacy #1 by Corinna Bechko & Gabriel Hardman

This week we spoke to Gabriel Hardman and Corinna Bechko about Star Wars Legacy #1, an all new chapter in Dark Horse’s Star Wars Legacy series originated by John Ostrander. Set hundreds of years after the events of Return of the Jedi, that first volume focused on bounty hunter Cade Skywalker, descendent of, well, you know. Now, Bechko and Hardman pan over to the far-flung fruit of Han and Leia’s loins, a young woman named Ania Solo. Of course, you need not have read any previous Star Wars Legacy books. This is a fresh start set in a galaxy, far, far away, and still quite a long time ago. Quite a bit has changed since Han and Leia’s heyday, but you’ll still see some familiar creatures, worlds and conflicts. And at the center of it all, the fateful discovery of a lightsaber.

Comments

  1. I didn’t realize Hardman was drawing this as well. Now I’m definitely buying it. I assume he won’t be doing every ongoing issue but their writing is good and I’m sure they’ll find good fill-ins.

  2. well this is going to be sweet.

DC needs to snatch these 2 up and put them on a million books.

  3. Question! Will I be able to understand this book with knowledge mostly from the 6 Star Wars films?

  4. Very cool, looking forward to this one. Wonder if she’ll be the descendent of Jacen & Tenel Ka?

I just hope there are some Jagged Fel Juniors running around.

(This post has become way more Star Wars-fanny than I am used to being.)

  5. I may have to give this a shot.

  6. Want.

  7. To quote Emperor Palpatine: “Good.”
