PREVIEW: Fearless Vol. 1 from Image Comics

As fear is being propagated across the comics landscape with Marvel’s Fear Itself and the upcoming The Fearless title, Image is finally collecting a book that came years before Matt Fraction dreamt up his story. The four issue series Fearless by Mark Sable & David Roth was just solicited for a November 2011 release, putting together the late 2007/2008 series that explored an anxiety-prone superhero named Fear who attempts to get it under control with an anti-fear drug that makes him a daredevil with reckless abandon. But when his arch-nemesis finds out his weakness and cuts him off, Fear must come to grips with his fortune and do without the drug if he hopes to survive.

From the creator of GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES and GROUNDED comes the story of a
literal man without fear.  The vigilante known as Fear is a bold, even
reckless superhero.  He’s also a man paralyzed by a crippling anxiety
disorder who needs an anti-fear drug to fight his war on crime.  Hell, he
needs it just to get out of bed every day.  So what happens when his drug
supply runs out?
