Now, This I Just Don’t Get

I’m scanning through job postings today, as I’m wont to do when my positions conclude, and I came upon this.

Now I’m just utterly confused about where Marvel‘s supposed to be going.

So apparently Epic isn’t a closed book. Why, though, would they ever ask for people to submit tons of submissions when they couldn’t weed through the stack they got the first time, and, as rumor tells it, they chucked out the whole lot?
