What are the iFanboys buying? Check their pull lists out here: Conor, Josh, and Paul.
And what about the rest of the staff? What are they buying? Check out their pull lists: Jim, Mike, Molly, Ryan, Ali, Timmy, Chris, Jeff, and Matt.
This week Josh Flanagan has the Pick of the Week!
Bonus Question: If you could create your own shared universe and cross over the characters from two TV shows or two movies or a movie and a TV show what would you pick?
BQ: The Adventures of Tyrion Lannister and Omar Little
The two best characters ever!
NEW AVENGERS #11 & LAZARUS #3
BQ: Twin Peaks (t.v. series) & Goodfellas (movie). I would love a David Lynch and Martin Scorsese story. Wouldn’t miss it for the world.
BQ: Just thought of a few more: X-FILES and TROLL HUNTER, IRON SKY and HELLBOY, UNDERWORLD and BLADE, NIGHTBREED and NIGHT WATCH, FRAILTY and THE KILLING.
BQ: That’s an awesome question. I’m sure I could come up with a bunch, but I’d like to see Vic Mackie and Raylan Givens try to work together (maybe to take down Walter White and Stringer Bell?).
There is no way that doesn’t end without Vic and Raylan killing each other
Damn, stole my Walter White/Stringer Bell combo hahaha.
the combined crews of the Bebop and the Serenity vs…. KAHN!
As long as it’s Montalban Khan, and Wash is alive, I’m in.
Big week.

UNCANNY AVENGERS #11
WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN #35
BQ: I’ve always fantasized about a Twin Peaks/The X-Files crossover. Directed by Lynch, co-written by Lynch and Spotnitz. A Mulder/Cooper team-up is just rife with entertaining potential.
BQ: Luther and Sherlock.
Good one.
I was thinking “Luther and….” then I saw this comment and became aroused.
Good week Uncanny Avengers, New Avengers, The Massive, Secret (it’s finally back!) & The Unwritten!
BQ- Malcolm in the Middle & Breaking Bad, Brian Cranston balances the lifestyle of Hal & Walter, with all the crazy shit that Malcolm, Dewey, Reese & Francis get up too!
Batman/Superman #3
Captain Marvel #15

New Avengers
Uncanny Avengers
Thor: God of Thunder
Scarlet Spider
Journey into Mystery (RIP)
Wolverine and the X-men

LAZARUS #3
SANDMAN OMNIBUS VOL. 1
THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #12
UNCANNY X-MEN #11
WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN #35
BQ: Captain America and The Wolverine. I’d love to see an WWII adventure with those guys hunting Nazis together.
Since I’m going back to school I’m making some deep cuts this week. Young Avengers, Ultimate Spider-Man and Deadpool, it’s been fun, but I gotta let you go. It’s not you, it’s me. I hope we can still be friends…*sniff*
Bonus Question: I want an X-Files/Repo Man mash up! Mulder and Scully looking for the Malibu; Otto doing repo man stuff. It would be great.
Getting:
Justice League
New Avengers
The Flash
Batman Inc Special
Batman/Superman
Young Avengers
Jack Kirby’s OMAC Omnibus
Maybe Tom Strong or American Vampire Anthology. Big bloody week.
BQ: Tom Baker Doctor Who and his companions…Barbara Gordon & Dick Grayson.
G-Rated TV Batman and Robin teamed up with R-Rated Christian Bale Batman and Josh GL Robin. Hilarity ensues.
Most excited this week for Angel & Faith and Jericho…I swear I read comics that didn’t start out as TV shows!
Thinking about dropping Larfleeze, because my excitement over that book may have set me up to be too horribly disappointed by how meaningless and juvenile it has turned out to be so far…
And that is an awesome bonus question. How about Veronica Mars interning at X-Factor Investigations over the summer? Peter David would write the hell out of that.
Adventures of Superman 4
Aquaman 23
Superman/Batman 3
Lazarus 3
BQ: Battlestar Galactica meets Star Trek mostly to see the interactions between the crews of the Enterprise and the Galactica. Adama and Kirk in the same room? Don’t tell me that isn’t damn good television!
Plus, it would be cool to see the Galactica and the Enterprise taking on a Cylon Basestar.
KING CONAN HOUR O/T DRAGON #4
STAR WARS LEGACY II #6
BATMAN & SUPERMAN #3

Captain America
Thanos Rising
King Conan Hour of the Dragon
Scarlet Spider
and Aquaman
BQ: How about Star Wars and Star Trek just for the hell of it?
Light week for me… Lazarus is my highlight.
BQ: I’d put Jason Bourne in The Walking Dead. Time to take some time off Treadstone and focus on some walkers!…
Or the cast of Friends and HIMYM…
A nice big week for me, but I can’t complain, some awesome stuff is out.
American Vampire Anthology
Captain Midnight
FBD
FF
Itty Bitty Hellboy
Lazarus
The Massive
Mind The Gap
The Unwritten
Young Avengers
BQ: I’d like to see Jonathan, Ray, and George from Bored to Death team up with The Dude, Walter, and Donnie from The Big Lebowski. I don’t know what they would do besides bowl, get high, and solve crime, but I want to watch that.
That would be wonderfully entertaining!
Holy crap. Your idea was much better than mine.
Can we make this happen? Can we? Fuck Donnie’s dead though. Its a fucking travesty.
I used to long to find an in and out burger joint until i found one. I sat there by myself, eat my burger, and concluded, “this is so undude. What a let down.
Thats a great mash up. The conversations and unusual situations handled nonchalantly with witty banter would be priceless.
Adventure of superman
Batman/superman
Captain America
Justice league
New avengers
Thor
Wolv and the x-men
Thinking ill give scarlet spider a go too.
I’m always excited for new comics day but for some reason I thought the next Wednesday was in September and I was going to be getting battle of the Atom, infinity, forever evil and superior Spider-Man. Looks like ill have to wait another week for spider 2099.
Aquaman
All-star Western
Young Avengers
Ultimate comics Spider-Man
BQ: Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Damn, that’s a good one!
Aquaman
Batman Incorporated Special
Batman/Superman
Deadpool
Itty Bitty Hellboy
Lazarus
New Avengers
BQ: Farscape and Stargate SG-1
Man Farscape was so good, and not many people saw it. sucks
Definitely looking forward to Mind th Gap and Uncanny this week. Also going I be checking out the Rocket Raccoon trade thingy. I remember the ads for the original mini when I was. Kid but never did read it.
BQ: I want to see the team from Newsroom cover the presidential race on Veep next year.
Oh yeah, this one is weird: I want to see Bar Rescue cross over with Cheers lol
This week’s books are
ALL-STAR WESTERN #23
AMERICAN VAMPIRE ANTHOLOGY #1
LAZARUS #3
It’s possible I’m the only one loving the hell out of All Star Western, but losing the backup feature is allowing the main story to spread out and really get a good footing in.
BQ: Either a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the 1980’s edition, or Death’s Head and Jonah Hex.
Also because I’m an idiot and missed it, YOUNG AVENGERS #9.
And updated one last time since I missed the rename on Collider #2 to FBP: FEDERAL BUREAU OF PHYSICS #2.
Captain America and Lazarus for me!
What is the title of this post referring to? I’m blanking on what might have inspired the Bonus Question.
My answer is probably making Marty McFly and Doc Brown the new companions for the Doctor
I think I’m going to pick up the American Vampire anthology too. How can you pass up on that line-up of creators?
Big comics this week. Angel & Faith (NOOOO ITS THE END), Lazarus, FF, New Avengers, Arena Avengers.
BQ: Angel and any lawyer show. Just because we could have Wolfram & Heart and other lawyer’s interact in the best ways.
Fringe and Doctor Who. Walter Bishop and the Doctor would be AMAZING together.
Hell, I would put Walter Bishop in anything.
The Shield and Breaking Bad would be interesting.
He is a Paranoid Delusional Insomniac with a Multiple Personality Disorder. She is a Vampir Slayer. They fight crime.
Small pull list for me.
BQ:Id love to see Moonlighting paired with DS9. David Addison on Terok Nor, with Odo? Sweet.
Someones been reading the fables/unwritten crossover.
I would have to say the Goonies and just about anything else.
The Goonies teleport to Middle Earth and have to double as hobbits.
or
The Goonies time travel back to the 20’s and team up with Indiana Jones to fight nazis and find treasure
or
Oh so many good combos.
Deadpool #15- I’ve been waiting for this one for a while. The preview alone was gold on so many levels.
Flash #23- Am I the only one who thinks this book has been dragging a bit? Ironic, no? If this issue doesn’t show me something, it’s dropped like a rock.
Larfleeze #3- You are either loving this book or hating it. I’m loving it. Some people have been complaining about the art, but I personally don’t see what’s wrong with it. They do realize Larfleeze is supposed to be kind of ugly, don’t they?
BQ; Ragnar from Viking meets Thor
I think Ragnar is an atheist, ha.
I like the idea of Thor meeting Hagar the Horrible.
Aquaman #23, Captain Midnight #2, Lazarus #3, Secret #3 & Uncanny #3.
BQ : Blakes’ 7 & Firefly.
BQ: Supernatural and Buffy, or Firefly & Doctor Who. Either 9, 10 or 11 (or one of the classic Doctors) would be great fun to see interacting with the Firefly crew. And let us not forget the differences between the meaning of the word ‘companion’ in these two universes.
Massive week this week for me, getting a load of comics as well as stuff from the past two weeks as I’ve been abroad. So about 26 (plus maybe a few back issues such as The Movement #4 if they’re in stock).
AQUAMAN #23
CAPTAIN AMERICA #10
FF #11 (trying out both Fantastic Four related titles. Reserved them before I found out that Fraction was leaving).
JUSTICE LEAGUE #23
LAZARUS #3
TALON #11
THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #12
UNCANNY AVENGERS #11
UNCANNY X-MEN #11
YOUNG AVENGERS #9
BATMAN / SUPERMAN #3
JUSTICE LEAGUE #23
DEADPOOL #15
Dropping Captain Midnight, first 2 issues didn’t really hook me.
BQ: I’ve been wanting to see a Homer Simpson/Randy Marsh road movie for years now. Imagine “Planes, Trains…” with those 2!
But seriously, who wouldn’t want to see Arya Stark as The Doctor’s companion?
So many books this week, it’s ridiculous. So, so many.
BQ~ Doctor Who and Firefly. The doctor and Mal hanging out would be really swell.
Adventures of Superman
American Vampire Anthology
Batman/Superman
Captain America
Captain Marvel
FBP
Lazuras
Mind MGMT
New Avengers
Sex
The Massive
Thumbprint
Uncanny Avengers
Uncanny X-Men
Wolverine and the X-Men
Young Avengers
BQ: Soprano’s, The Wire and Breaking Bad universe seems like as natural of a crossover as is possible. Tony vs Walt vs Marlo. McNulty cracking jokes on Hank. Omar and Jessie are the Wildcards!!!!!!! Walt Jr eating pancakes. What’s not to love.
Great bonus question, so many cool possibilities.
BQ: Supernatural / Buffy – The interaction between should be great, Dean flirting all season with Buffy, just to end in Purgatory and then comeback to find her and Sam hook up, and then later on, she will end up with a real angel, Castiel!
Fringe / Breaking Bad – The two Walters should be the best of friends ever, one love to get high and the other make the most wonderful meth ever!
Hannibal / Dexter – That should be interesting… There’s not enough room for two serial killers in one town or is it? They could become killers buddies!
THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #12
LAZARUS #3
JUSTICE LEAGUE #23
THE FLASH #23
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #23
BATMAN / SUPERMAN #3
BATMAN, INCORPORATED SPECIAL #1
Great bonus question….
I would go with with; 24 and Homeland. Just to see Jack Bauer punch Damian Lewis’ character in the throat. Or Batman and Breaking Bad, to see Batman kick Walter Whites teeth in.
Wow…I don’t feel like I’m I an overly violent mood this morning,..
Thinking about switching to trades on Star Wars legacy. It’s not working so well in issues.
ALL-STAR WESTERN #23
AQUAMAN #23
AVENGERS ARENA #14
BATMAN / SUPERMAN #3
FF #11
JUSTICE LEAGUE #23
STAR WARS: LEGACY #6
YOUNG AVENGERS #9
BQ: A buddy cop show Mike Ehrmantraut (back in his pre-crime days) and Jimmy “McNutty” McNulty. Sh******t.
*with
Nothing for me this week but man i got a lot of suggestions.
Captain America and the JSA both in the past and the present day
Doctor Who and the MIB (much better than torchwood)
Solomon Grundy and Bizarro dorming together in a mayberry esque town with an interpreter for Bizarro.
A reawakened Robocop in the world of Ghost in the shell with Rick Deckard returning as a Blade Runner
He’s a stretchy ex-con and she’s a no name supervillain (who can break herself apart). Together they are Plastic Man and the puzzler
The Amazing Screw On Head and Frankenstein team up to kill Dracula
I’ve got tons of others and no I do not write fanfiction.
BQ Addendum: Captain America with Band of Brothers as the Howling Commandos! Yeah! That’s the stuff.
Big, big, BIG happenings begin in this arc of MIND THE GAP. Huge. Plus, Dan McDaid art AND Rodin Esquejo! Something for everyone! 🙂

UNCANNY X-MEN #11
WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN #35
The only book I dropped this week is Batman/Superman. I hardly knew what the hell was going on in those first two issues. It could just be because I’m not a big fan of DC, and just don’t know enough about their universe. Anyway I should be dropping a lot more than just one book. These huge weeks I keep having are finally taking their toll on my wallet.
New Avengers #9 – more Infinity, pretty good really
Secret Avengers #8
Captain Marvel #15 – gotta know what happened after Carol jets off into space to beat Magnetron
