It’s weird how much Marvel gets on my nerves – to the point that every other week I feel like dropping all their series – then I read the books and I actually enjoy them quite a lot.

I feel your Marvel comment, they’re always putting out random titles with characters/teams/writers that I can’t help but buy into for a few issues to try out. It’s extremely annoying but I have stumbled across some titles that I really enjoy and dumped some other ones for.
FINALLY more Mouse Guard and FINALLY Saga!

Yeah, 11 books for me too. I am really excited for Saga and Saucer Country. This issue of Demon Knights shall decide it’s fate, I love the setting and style, I’m just not sure I want/can afford it in singles. More Lobster Johnson and Conan. I’m kinda bummed Luthor Strode isn’t out this week, but my wallet is happy. Adventure Time 2! Awesome! Too many books is a wonderful problem to have.
Damn I almost forgot, The War of the Words conclusion! 48 pgs. of Unwritten bliss.
I have a subscription of Superboy, sadly I’m not looking forward to that one. It is going no where.
Goddamn, Image and Vertigo are basically mugging me this week. Super excited for Saga and Saucer Country, plus Luther Strode should be wrapping up this week as well, at least that’s what my LCS says. I sure do hope so.

This plague hurts my nose. I went through a whole box of kleenex’s on Saturday alone. I do not know how our bodies can create that much mucus, but I will be honest, it genuinely scares and mystifies me.
This is a much more exciting week for me than last week with Saga, Batman & Robin, Green Lantern, and Wolverine and X-Men. Awesome.
In a week that my wife will already be mad about, I’m looking to add one more to my too-long list: Saga.

OK ifanbase i have a question… first the set up..
Secret history of DB cooper drops this week and I am pumped to read it. BUT i forgot to order it at my LCS. I called my shop and they only have one coming in (probably for someone elses pull). If i don’t get it i’ll probably just buy it digitally.
This is the second week in a row this happened (last weeks Manhattan projects snuck up on me too).
My question is what is the best way to stay on top of the release schedule? I hate adding something to my pull list MONTHS ahead of time based solely on an article on here, because sometimes the title changes, it gets canceled, or is just plain overlooked by the LCS when it comes time to order. Any suggestions to help me stay on top of those must read indie releases?

I really liked the storyline! I loved how there were so many female characters, but the art just didn’t do it for me, I felt it was boring and kinda dull. I really like bright colors in my comics.
I didn’t like Y the Last Man either. I got tired of self-righteous main character guy

I’m tempted to hold out for either Peter Panzerfaust 1 & 2 or No Place like Home 1 & 2, but I just noticed that Francesco Fracavilla is doing covers on Near Death, so I think it might be time to give Jay Faerber some love once again.
So many books outside of the big two, and I have a hard time dropping any New 52 book because solicits for issues #10 of everything just came out….Just when I thought I was out, they reel me back in with those solicits!

With Saga, Thief of Thieves, Saucer Country, and Peter Panzerfaust this is one of the biggest weeks for non-traditional super hero titles ever. I bet Josh wishes he had the pick this week.

To answer my own question. I looked back through the pull lists going back into December of last year. The pull list leader has been a rotation of Wolverine and the Xmen, Batman, Justice League, Animal Man and Flash.
So Saga this week is breaking a very consistent trend at the top of the pull list.

Most excited about Saga, Conan and Mouse Guard, in that order. Thief of Thieves, Batwoman, and Adventure Time are the second tier. I am thinking about dropping Batgirl (unless this one pulls me back in), and this is the last issue of Suicide Squad I’ll ever pick up.
Suicide Squad is at the top of my list but there are other good books on it.

Journey Into Mystery #635- my favorite fantasy/humor title on the shelves, it exudes a charm that I cannot resist.
Wolverine and the X-men #7- most looked forward to, the writing and artwork on the current arc have me weeping for more each month; once again the charm hits me and I can’t resist.
