Comments

  1. Get Paid!!

  2. Get published!

  3. Get pony!!

  4. Not much for me this week, which is nice, I think it’s just Brightest Day at this point unless I notice something

BQ: Lose the 20 pounds I gained when my knee got busted. Oh yeah, and graduate from college

  5. I’m gonna pick up a bunch of stuff that came out over the holidays that I couldn’t get due to living in an igloo at the time.

    BQ: Get a damn job.

  6. Not much of a DC reader so this week is very light for me but I think I’m gonna give some new books a chance

BQ: Get a god damn corndog

  7. @Jarrett  come on there was a better P word to finish that trifecta haha, and no not the sexual one

  8. @Jarrett  i do respect the post though

  9. Not the most exciting week to kick off the new year, although Ultimate Cap should be good.  And we Brits get the Marvel stuff we missed last week.  Feels a lot like a festive hangover week though…

BQ:  Gotta be to lose the weight I recently put back on over the holiday leadup.  God, I wish I could think of something more aspirational….

  10. Wow, really light week for me

BQ: Get my first job as a comic book artist

  11. Would be excited for children crusade if my comic book guy didnt short me #2.

BQ: quit my job for something better

  12. Very light week. I think Thanos Imperative Devastation is enough for me any way – I’ll take as much Marvel cosmic as I can get.

BQ: Too many to list, so I’ll just say live a balanced life that sees me do better with the career path given to me but not at the expense of my time with my wife and family.

  13. BQ: Be less self destructive

  14. BQ Go back to having one chin :)))

  15. Good to see a light week after getting two big weeks of books due to being gone for the holidays. Right now just looking at Avengers Prime, Superboy, and Brightest Day. (And I must note that I hate these DC January covers; I’d rather get something that tells the story of the book rather than a pinup of varying quality with no backgrounds.)

BQ: Find my calling in life/change the world. (I dream big.)

  16. Brightest Day and Superboy. In keeping with one of my resolutions, i’m going to buy less stuff, so most mini’s that look interesting will wait till trades if they get good enough feedback.

BQ: get my comic finished and out there into the world.

  17. BQ:  get a job, help my parents more

  18. BQ Addendum: May have to spend less time on the interwebs.  The Christmas period let me have a good long look at just how much is on my shelves unwatched….

  19. Nice, light week – looking forward most to Ultimate Captain America. Superboy has been solid, and Irredeemable has just upped the ante the last few issues.

BQ: As much as I hate to do it, I’ve got to leave my LCS for a cheaper (likely on-line) option. The discount I get there is good, but there are better options on-line, and even with shipping, I’m cutting my costs by about 30 percent. I hate leaving a local mom-and-pop-store in this economy, but I can’t afford it anymore.

  20. BQ: Enjoy some wonderful comics.

  21. A nice light week, which is good because I still need to get last week’s books.  Looking forward to more Brightest Day and She Hulks!

BQ: To swear less.  Babies may be entering my future soon and I need my mouth a little more clean.

  22. Super Boy and Avengers Children’s Crusade this week plus all the books I wasn’t able to get due to being out of the country. Total of twenty books!

BQ: develop better study skills and tackle the LSAT again. Also, go to more cons!

  23. My goal for 2011 is to be free of addiction.

  24. Very light week, I might only pick up Weird Worlds #1. I do like them weird anthologies.

    BQ: Be prepared

  25. Just “Who Is Jake Ellis?” which honestly looks pretty good.

BQ: Just do more – finish projects left over from 2010, start better projects in 2011 and generally just rock more.

  26. Definitely Young Avengers.
Maybe Avengers Prime. I already bought all the other issues so I might just buy the last one in order to see it through to the conclusion, but I’m so over Bendis’s Avengers right now so I don’t know.
Will probably just flip through Next Men, Lady Death and Vampirella.

BQ: Start making more of a dent in my outrageously out of control “to be read” pile and kiss more cute boys. Or possibly just the same boy repeatedly.

  27. Sweet Tooth….Thats It? Maybe I cut my pull list a little too light.

BQ: I bought 130 bucks worth of books earlier this week and its my hope to get through it all by the year. also maybe date more, I kind of took a ten month break and its gotten a bit ridiculous.

  28. Get laid…..who said that?!

  29. Uh..yeah…so I’m picking up JBNM, Avengers Prime & Children’s Crusade.

  30. Biggest Goal: To Live!

  31. How late is Amazing Spider-Man now? I’d hate to drop it, but here we are…

    BQ: Grad school.

  32. Most excited for Avengers: Childrens Crusade #4.
Sweet Tooth, Choker, Doom Patrol, & Marineman round out a big week.

    BQ: Organize life.

  33. X-Factor is my most anticipated book of the 4 I’m picking up this week.

BQ: be as good a father as I can to my daughter.

  34. Looks like a rather dark and gritty comic book week for me with Choker, Jonah Hex, Sweets, and The Walking Dead.  Echo will also surely please.

BQ:  eat healthier and waste less money.  Also, make more art and just be all around more productive.

  35. What’s this? Superboy and Steel both have individual issues out this week? Did I fall through some kind of time warp? Is it 1994 again? Seriously, I never thought I’d see this again.

BQ: Get the new house ready for hosting various holidays in November and December.

  36. Looking forward to the new ongoing batman beyond series!

  37. BQ: Attend both Emerald City Comic Con and Heroes Con

  38. I’m probably looking forward to Walking Dead Weekly #1 the most. Sounds silly, but I’ve never read Walking Dead, I enjoyed the first episode of the show (all I’ve seen), and I like always having something to pick up each week (one of the things I liked about getting the 52 series), so I’m going to give it a go.

Also looking forward to Avengers Childrens Crusade #4.

BQ: I want to spend less time with friends and family, and more time watching television and spending time at work. WAIT A MINUTE! Strike that! Reverse it!

  39. Just Brightest Day for me.

BQ: Loose some weight, I guess.  (Gee, that’s kinda lame.)

  40. @DarkKnightDetective  Hey, you do get a comic job this year, let us know!  I’ll totally buy a copy — or two, since this will be the early work from DarkKnightDetective and will be worth a lot in the future!

  41. @wallythegreenmonster  Hey, same goes to you as to DarkKnightDetective. Once that comic comes out, and it’s accessible in Seattle, I’ll buy a copy or two. (Again, early investment in a up-and-coming comic creator!)

  42. @JohnVFerrigno  Hey, from one PowerDad to another, more POWER to ya on the daugher front!

  43. Only Brightest Day for me this week, which is good as I’ve ordered in quite a few back issues and want to pre-order the first Morning Glories trade.
