  1. I love those power grids, though I feel like his fighting skill should be a lot higher.

  2. doyleclark doyleclark says:

    that’s a lot of info… wow….

  3. kennyg kennyg says:

@jashcraft1014  And his intelligence. He isn’t stupid, he’s a good leader and tactician.

  4. pyynk pyynk says:

    What, no Liefled Cap Costume?

    /Yes, I’m totally kidding.
//I’d also like to believe that Heroes Reborn never happened.

  5. Multihuller Multihuller says:

I always feel like when I see that power grid for Cap it seems a little too weak.

  6. wangman31888 wangman31888 says:

@Multihuller  for realz, although why they would even give him a 1 on energy projection is beyond me

  7. RoiVampire RoiVampire says:

@kennyg  That one is debatable though on this scale. Do you have to be book smart in order to lead people, or do you just have to know how to fight and how to inspire people. Steve is smart but I think on this kind of scale it’s more about book smarts like Reed and Tony.

  8. Wow, it’s so hard to believe comics used to sale over a million copies. I wish it was still that way.

  9. Andrew Andrew says:

This is pretty cool. The best part how the time line starts very detailed and then drops of. “In 1965 he shared a title with Iron Man. Then, nothing happened for 40 years until he was shot in the gut.”

I wonder who the artist was for “The Classic” in the “The Costume” portion. Love it!

  10. Heroville Heroville says:

    @Andrew  I think that’s Romita Sr.

  11. crashpod says:

@RoiVampire  Yeah going by the old trading cards ussually 1 is normal 2 is peak human and 3 is superhuman so I think 2 is a good score.

  12. @Heroville  @Andrew  A lot of those pictures portraying characters in full costume that were always used in the old Marvel “biography” pages and the like were done by John Romita Sr or (I believe) Sal Buscema, if I’m not mistaken. So the Romita Sr speculation is most likely spot on.

  13. @Andrew — I’m almost 100% sure that it’s Mike Zeck.  That picture is from one of the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe series.

  14. Conor Kilpatrick conor (@cskilpatrick) says:

    @ultimatehoratio  Yeah, I think that’s Zeck too.

  15. Yep, it’s Zeck:  here’s the original piece.  (Scroll down)

  16. I just realized what that website is.  Oh internets, you never cease to amaze me.

  17. LucasEwalt says:

Yep, nothing happened in the history of Captain America comics from 1965-2007.

  18. jonnyflash jonnyflash says:

Thank goodness they didn’t mention Heroes Reborn.

  19. NathanNicdao NathanNicdao says:

    That power grid ain’t flattering.

  20. stuclach stuclach says:

I’m fairly certain that is far more than I needed to know about Captain America.

  21. tschafer tschafer says:

Brilliant infographic.  Had no idea on about the atlas comics.  Anyone know what made them a commerical failure?  Were they reprints?

  22. Andrew Andrew says:

@ultimatehoratio  Thanks! I had a slight suspicion it was Zeck, but wasn’t sure. I always appreciate when others do the research I am too lazy to do.
