iFlashback! December 3rd, 2003

It’s time for an iFlashback! A weekly feature in which we take a look at some comics that were on sale nine years ago. Why nine years and not ten? Well because our Mondays in 2012 sync up with the Wednesdays of 2003.

So jog down memory lane with me. The date is December 3rd, 2003. The number one film in the box office is The Cat in the Hat again, and these are some of the comics at your local comic book shop.

Comments

  1. Kyle Baker’s Plastic Man series was an underrated gem! It was like Looney Toons with superheroes in comic book form. I still miss the fun of this series. Like everything else DC did a terrible job collecting it, so you are best to go the way of back issues.

  2. Love this weekly feature, question for the ifanbase, what wednesdays do the mondays in 2013 match up with?

  3. I just finished Y: the Last Man yesterday. What an amazing ending to an amazing series.

  4. That Plastic Man run is 10 years old now. Wow.

  5. I only read Y-the last man and Ultimates, but man, that’s some fine books. Plastic Man looks like fun, heven’t heard of this series, is it any good?

Also i hate the USM Cover, the design looks so cheap.

(and doesn’t the cover for Batman say the Pander Brothers?)

  6. Kyle Baker’s Plastic Man is ‘THE’ definitive book on the character. It’s a gorgeous book and it is also hilarious at the same time. The issue of him dealing with a mouse in his apartment is some truly great stuff. It is a pain in the ass to find but hopefully people can find it in trade form in their LCS.
