Giveaway: Marvel Collection from AllPosters.com!

AllPosters.com have launched their Marvel Collection, and to celebrate, they're giving away a great prize to one lucky iFanboy member.

Before we get to that, take a look at the stuff in the collection.  It's all classic Marvel images, like the cover to Amazing Spider-Man #50 ("Spider-Man No More!"), or Jack Kirby's return to Steve Rogers with Captain America #100.  There are plenty of panels from artists like Kirby, Romita, Buscema and more, featuring Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, and the X-Men.

They're all done as Giclee prints, which they define as:

The Giclee printing process delivers a fine stream of ink resulting in vivid, pure color and exceptional detail that is suitable for museum or gallery display. This art print is produced on a heavy 310 gsm, acid-free and watercolor textured paper.

And which I define as incredibly vibrant and stunning prints that probably look better than the originals ever did, but while also still maintaining the character of the old pages.  I've got a couple examples here, and it is simply as good a print as you're likely to see.  If you go ahead and get a framed piece, the result is spectacular.  Because they're classic images from decades ago, they really work as a piece of retro art in a way that a lot of modern comic book stuff doesn't.  As far as I'm concerned, this is exactly the kind of thing I'd want on my wall as an adult comic book fan.

Oh, about that winner?  One iFanboy member will win their choice of ANY print up to 30"x40" or smaller.  Good luck making your choice on that one.  From covers to panels, I'd honestly have a terrible time picking.

Well actually, I'd go with Captain America #100. But it would be tough!

To win, you have to be an iFanboy member in North America.  In doing so, you're supporting the site and doing your part, but you also become eligible to win any of the prizes we've been handing out as fast as we can.  To become a member, go here.

  1. Hey, these look great. Any idea when the drawing for this and 300 will happen? Next POTW podcast?

  2. Probably 300 this week, and AllPosters the next week.

  3. Being a member just gets better, and better.

  4. Love allposters.com, have used them for years

  5. One of the best giveaways yet! I would snag something X-Men. It’s too bad there isn’t any Roy Thomas era X-Men or slightly older X-Men but some of the Phoenix era stuff would strike my fancy just fine.

  6. ..I want one so much.

  7. I’ll wait until the giveaway is over, but I might have to order one regardless.  How big should the dimensions be for cover art?  9×12 is the smallest, but pretty wimpy.  30×40 seems almost too big.  I don’t really see a comic book cover being projected as bigger than my movie posters.

  8. I have a framed 9×12 piece they sent me, and it’s actually pretty swanky. Not too small at all.

  9. This is so awesome.  You guys really have stepped it up lately.

  10. Just cruised the offerings at Allposters and want way too many of these! Lots of classic Kirby images. I would have a hard time choosing between triptychs of panels, splash pages, or covers. Need to re-instate that membership…

  11. I would love to have one of these to put in my Bat Cave (AKA my office)

  12. These are beautiful.  I really think I’m sold.

  13. Only North America!!!! Sob into my Union Jack hanky

  14. Awesome some of these will definitely make it on my wall at home.

  15. Fingers firmly crossed!
