GHOST Kicks off From Dark Horse in October

If you’re reading Dark Horse Presents right now, then you’ve already gotten a taste for the wonderful revival of Ghost thanks to Kelly Sue DeConnick and Phil Noto.  Dusting off one of the best characters from Dark Horse’s earlier days, DeConnick and Noto have made Ghost one of those series to watch for. Well the wait is over and we were delighted when Dark Horse sent over to us the exclusive look at the covers to Ghost #1 available this October.

First up we have a wonderful cover by series artist Phil Noto, who if you’re a regular reader of iFanboy and our Weekly Sketch Up, you know Noto is one of our favorites and one of the best artists currently in the comics game.  Second we’ve got the ultra exlusive variant cover for Ghost #1, by none other than Alex Ross, who rose to prominence in the 1990s when Ghost was originally launched. This cover will only be available to retailers who attend the San Diego Comic-Con retailers summit and will be available in an oversized litho format.

The Variant cover is only going to be available to retailers who attend the San Diego Comic-Con summit in a large litho format.  Super exclusive sexy stuff.

Comments

  1. I never get excited about variant covers, but I dig this Alex Ross piece. I remember when these books first came out; maybe we’ll get a Barb Wire or X series next…

  2. Ghost and Hellboy were two of the best things to come out of Dark Horse’s Superhero line-up long ago. Noce to see Ghost is back. Would love to see Adam Hughes do a few covers again . . .

  3. Nice. I’ve always liked this character. Noto is great and Kellie Sue does good work.

  4. I love the little Ghost I’ve been exposed to and now remember where I seen Adam Hughes years ago and then last year I read the Hellboy:Masks and Monsters which I personally loved even it was pretty simple, it was the art and the pairing of some of my favorite characters Hellboy, Starman and Batman then Hellboy and Ghost. Thats the last time I saw her and love Noto so look forward to this.

  5. Happy to hear Ghost is back… but where the hell are her pants? Or tights, at least.

  6. Wow! I Haven’t been this impressed about an Alex Ross cover in a long, long time.

  7. Wow! I haven’t been this impressed by an Alex Ross cover in a long, long time.

  8. Is the #0 that is solicited in this month’s Previews a reprint of the DHP story?

  9. Nice! Just recently got the first two Ghost Omnibus’ and now a new series is coming out.

I think it looked better (and made more sense) with the trousers.

Other than that, I’m looking forward to it. Already subscribed to the mini with my supplier’s subscription service.
