Yesterday we had a lot of fun speculating over the mysterious Flashpoint banners that DC put up on their blog throughout the day. There's not a lot in comics that is more fun than speculating over cryptic clues to upcoming storylines and in recent years, DC has been really good about providing that kind of teaser imagery.
Today, over on The Source, DC revealed the answers to three of the banners.
The first:
The first one was pretty easy. Who else would be running Wayne Casinos during the day but Ace Rothstein Batman?
The second:
This one had people split. You think ring you think Green Lantern, right? Usually. And yesterday, most people (including myself) thought so too. But there was a smaller contingent who made the case for The Flash and they were correct.
The third:
This one was harder to crack because there were no clue beyond marriage. And that could mean pretty much anyone, right? Lots of Wonder Woman and Aquaman guesses that proved accurate and lots of Hawkman and Hawkgirl guesses.
Will the others be revealed next week? We'll have to wait and see!

Ok throwing “Spaceship Crash” to GL and “Experimented On” to Superman.
I think @gobo may have it figured out.
I make no claim, other smarter people than me came up with that idea in the old thread.
@Gobo @Stuclach and if you look at the teaser image from Flash #1 there is a big metal door (going to assume it’s iron) with a big S on it, with Guards around it, which probably points to the experimented line.
Also in that teaser is a white lantern glove and ring. I am sure Brightest DFay will have some involvment in Flashpoint as well.
@Gobo – I was thinking the same thing… That ring just messed all of yesterdays prediction… but what will “the event” be about???
Looking at the Batman teaser actually leads to another question. “He Spends his day’s running Wayne Casino” but what does he do at night? Is this event going to show that no matter what time line these characters are in, or not matter what has happened to them, that they will still become a Batman, or a Superman or a Green Lantern; thinking values more than anythign.
I agree with @gobo. If you look at the background in the full page from the preview. There’s a large steel door with Superman’s logo on it with a couple military guards in front of it. Also there’s a hand with a White Lantern ring so maybe instead of getting a Green Lantern ring from Abin Sur, Hal just becomes a White Lantern in the aftermath of Blackest Night.
A wonder woman needs an aquaman, like a fish needs a bicycle.
About the Flash… I keep thinking the ring Johns refers to is his *wedding* ring, not the costume ring.
This is all about Reverse Flash going back in time and changing the heros past, right? It has to be that. That is a thread in flash. So all these would be “Flashpoints” in the Flashes world.
@msarsur I suggested that yesterday and thought I was crazy. Glad to hear I’m not the only one. Iris and Zoom have a history of fatal meetings…

I said on the earlier thread tht the rocket is Abin Sur’s, and Krypton never exploded, so no Superman.

I’m disappointed they revealed some of them right away? Whatever happened to discovering things in the story? oh yeah previews and websites happened. haha

the steel doors point to found by the government. the political marriage of wonder woman and aquaman is just werid but i get it.

I always asked why Prof. Zoom never went back in time and f*cked up the heroes past, I mean why not save batman parents, why not stop Ma and Pa Kent from finding Superman… if you’re a villain that can go back int ime why not prevent the heroes form becoming heroes.

@msarsur that wedding ring thing is a really good idea. i never would have even thought of that. What if Flash never got married to Iris. WAIT!!! WHAT IF REVERSE FLASH DOES ALL THIS SO HE CAN MARRY IRIS!?!?!?!
the spaceship never crashed to green lantern. they experimented on him in a lab is for superman because on the flashpoint banner it shows guards standing in front of the superman s shield that looks like its in a lab

in the preview pages, WW is in front of a burning big ben and Paris is under water. Either they became the hero/guardians of those countries or it is the fallout from Atlantis/Themyscira almost going to war.
Maybe Reverse Flash or someone else? Changing time would be something that Paralax might want to do.
