When the news of the DC Comics Relaunch this September was announced, one of the titles that I heard the most complaints about not being able to continue was Xombi, written by John Rozum with art by Frazer Irving. Now, who knows what the future may bring fro Xombi in the future, but today at least, we'll get another issue of this unique series to enjoy.
Issue #5 comes in at 32 pages and is the 5th chapter of the story as David Kim and his new band of allies get ready to infiltrate The Ninth Stronghold and gain control of it from Roland Finch, but it'snever that easy, is it?
Xombi #5 is on sale in comic shops this Wednesday, July 27 and sells for $2.99

I wanted to read this book SO HARD after reading the first two issues, but I cannot get past how lazy and boring the coloring seems (in my opinion). I know a lot of people like that, but man does it turn me off to the comic to see a page seemingly ‘flood filled’ with one color. Probably would have continued with the comic if it had been in black and white, which even i think is a bit odd.
I have to disagree with you, what makes it so surreal and unique, is the crazy coloring!
I told my LCS I wanted this, and picked up the first two off the rack. Unfortunately, they never pulled it for me and only ordered two or three for the store, so I missed #’s 3 & 4.
Question: ‘Yall think I should wait for a trade, or go pickn’ at cons for my missing issues?
Word to the Wise: Search out the Milestone issues to see where this crazy goodness came from.
P.S. Please excuse the contractions. Me & the Mrs have been watching Paula Dean lately.
