EXCLUSIVE: Happy #1 MorrisonCon Variant Cover by Darick Robertson

With MorrisonCon just a few weeks away, I could help but hold onto one of the goodies to share with you here at iFanboy.  One of the added benefits for those attending MorrisonCon is they get a free copy of Happy #1, the new mini-series written by Grant Morrison with art by Darick Robertson, published by Image Comics, but with an added special touch.

We worked with the awesome folks at Image Comics and Darick Robertson to give MorrisonCon attendees a special variant cover for their copy of Happy #1.  This variant will ONLY be available at and for MorrisonCon attendees. It doesn’t get more special than that.

I’ll quit my babbling and get to the showing off part as I present to you, Darick Robertson’s limited edition variant cover for Happy #1, colored by Richard P. Clark:

Want to get your hands on this? There’s still time to get a ticket to MorrisonCon. Plus, if you hadn’t heard in addition to the superstars of comics attending, we’ve also announced that film directors James Gunn (Super and rumored to be directing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy) and Max Landis (Chronicle) will be in attendance and on the Celluloid Heroes panel to discuss movies and comics.

You can get your tickets at MorrisonCon.com

And in case you can’t make it to MorrisonCon, you can still pick up a copy of Happy! #1 from Image Comics when it hits stand on September 26, 2012. This teaming up of Morrison and Robertson is definitely going to be one that you won’t want to miss!

  1. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  2. Ron, just curious, how did you get involved with MorrisonCon and what exactly is your involvement? Is it just you, or iFanboy as a whole, or another company you work with?

  3. At least this is one variant cover Ron has figured out how to get without writing an angry letter.

  4. Man I hope there are whacky images like this throughout Happy. I want to get my mind melted like the first time I read The Filth.

  5. Does anybody know what this book is about??
