DC Collectibles Unveils Exclusive Line of High-End Prints

If you’ve ever wanted to furnish your home office like a fantasy travel agency, showcasing vacation destinations from Kandor to Themyscira, this is your moment. This week, DC Collectibles has unveiled an exclusive online print shop featuring high-end, acid free prints. Because acid is the worst. There are currently 20 designs on offer, featuring the aforementioned travel posters as well as the Green Lantern oath, some Court of Owls propaganda, a flier for the high-flying Grayson family of Haly’s Circus, and more. DC promises to add even more designs on a regular basis.

Each print is available in two sizes, 12″ x 18″ for $19.95 and 24″ x 36″ for $34.95. We only wish they’d list the artist or artists responsible for each design. It’s not unusual for the imagery on other forms of merchandising—T-Shirts, toothbrushes, etc.—to go uncredited, but it’s a little odd to find a fine art print with no author. Still, a nice way to deck your walls with a touch of the DC Universe.

The Hex print is a slice of Leone goodness. The only thing it’s missing are the movie credits at the bottom!

  2. the uncredited art reminds me of the stuff you see at Ikea or Bed Bath and Beyond. The artist is usually compensated quite well for that kinda license if they know what they are doing.

These are all really reminiscent of stuff you see on Tumblr made by fans for fun. Kinda fascinating the way it works.

heh, I love the Bat thought balloon one.

  4. I liked the cosmic treadmill poster a lot.

I’m going to try and talk my wife into letting me pick up one or two of these.

    Two Facts:

    1. I like the Kandor one too.
    B. My birthday is on the 20th.

I was just saying I wish they had more art deco style posters of the DCU cities when I saw that deco poster of Metropolis on that Ryan Haupt article talking about escapism and the fictional cities in the DCU. This is a good start!

There is an interesting component to that Themyscira poster

  9. BionicDave BionicDave says:

My picks: 1) Themyscira; 2) Flying Graysons; 3) Coast City; 4) Kandor.

    Cool. Great idea, DC!

These are all really nice. I’d love to have the Flying Graysons in the smaller size.

A real challenge would be to make a travel poster for Gotham and have it be appealing.
