    ha!

  2. stuclach stuclach says:

“A cape on Jonah Hex.”  That about sums it up.

P.S. This Hitler clip never seems to get old.

  3. mikegraham6 mikegraham6 says:

Wicked! Even though i know better this clip almost seems tailor made for this

  4. TomE TomE says:

Heh! Pretty funny if you mute it.

  5. finbarbat finbarbat says:

    That. Was. Brilliant.

  6. pyynk pyynk says:

It wouldn’t be comics without dooooom.

  7. spaceghost15 spaceghost15 says:

Video is no longer available. BOOOOOO. Was it just the hitler freaking out clip?

  8. Conor Kilpatrick conor (@cskilpatrick) says:

@spaceghost15  It’s working just fine for me.

  9. actual literal LOL. Holy crap Batman, that was funny. A cape on Jonah Hex. nice.

BTW that original movie is quite excellent…worth watching for history buffs.

  10. ericmci ericmci says:

I would rather read Wizard on my nook
    Bring me Fear Itself.

    HIlarious

  11. spaceghost15 spaceghost15 says:

Got it. Must not want to play on my phone.
    “Bring me FEAR ITS SELF”

  12. Trichon Trichon says:

    Now that was funny.

  13. gaffergamgee gaffergamgee says:

“Jim Lee should have put a cape on Jonah Hex and have him kill Superman”

Yes, that is exactly what they should have done.

  14. flakbait flakbait says:

    lolz

  15. minithin minithin says:
  16. +1

  17. I thought this internet meme was baned by the film company?

I guess you can’t keep a good thing down!

  18. NaveenM NaveenM says:

    Hilarious!

How many times has that scene been used like this? I wonder what goes through the head of the filmmakers when they see these?  Have they finally given up getting these pulled from YouTube?

  19. Bring me Fear Itself! lol talk about same old story!

  20. LucasEwalt says:

Man, Hitler is pissed about everything.

  21. ato220 ato220 says:

Oh internet.  You make me laugh.  I always wonder about the guys who play Hitler.  Do they get typecast?  Do they always have that mustache?  Could you imagine being the poor son of a bitch who is born looking like Hitler?

  22. RobotZombie RobotZombie says:

I never thought I would agree with him. Now I am scared.

  23. I REALLY must see Downfall.

  24. BornIn1142 BornIn1142 says:

This was pretty funny, but the actual criticism was a little incoherent. It’s pretty obvious the reboot is about overturning change and nostalgic masturbation in the guise of reverting characters to older, “iconic” statuses. It’s not the readers who are afraid of new things.

@NaveenM: Actually, I believe the director of “Downfall” is quite pleased with the meme, since it does such a great job of knocking Hitler off his pedestal of evil. The distributing company has still been pulling the videos from YouTube though.

  25. Josh Flanagan josh (@jaflanagan) says:

    @comicBOOKchris  It’s a really great movie.

@ato220  Bruno Ganz is a pretty respected actor. He’s not like that dude who just played Saddam throughout the 90′s.

  26. MisterJ says:

@LucasEwalt  That was great.  Had me laughing more than the clip did!

  27. I don’t think director Oliver Hirschbiegel had any of this in mind when he made Downfall. Kinda feel bad that this is all of the film people remember.

  28. Limitless Limitless says:

    Amazing

  29. kennyg kennyg says:

I lold several times. Funny stuff. A couple of missed opportunities (the woman should have said something about Wonder Woman or Power Girl), but funny.

  30. Great job — “My Wednesdays are free.”

  31. Cornelius says:

Best Hitler dubbing since “Hitler wants Fedor to fight in UFC”.

  32. LadyTartan LadyTartan says:

I fully expect to see the quote “What Jim Lee should have done is put a cape on Jonah Hex” taken out of context and bandied around the internet for a good while.

  33. Lucien21 Lucien21 says:

Wow the most overused meme on the internet. Right up there with Rickrolling. It may have been funny once, but nowadays it’s just lazy and tedious.

  34. that was the funniest thng I’ve seen in a long time!

  35. IroncladMerc says:

No matter how many of these clips I see, it just never gets old and is always hilarious.

  36. Jediaxle Jediaxle says:

Nice job guys, Bring me Fear Itself!

  37. HailScott HailScott says:

OK, that’s it. I really have to start reading Jonah Hex.

  38. SpiderTitan SpiderTitan says:

That Geoff Johns line had me crying in laughter. This video making my day is an understatement, lol.

  39. ccarney ccarney says:

    Loved it

  40. BetaRayRyan BetaRayRyan says:

    Hitler has a point.

    WAIT, I DIDN’T MEAN

    <USER BANNED>

  41. Jetstorm Jetstorm says:

    Awosome!

  42. deezer deezer says:

This is gold, GOLD I SAY! Don’t know if I agree with the overall point, but it still made me laugh. That being said, I would love to see Jonah Hex with a cape… does that make me part of the problem?

  43. ato220 ato220 says:

    Was the video pulled?

  44. Conor Kilpatrick conor (@cskilpatrick) says:

    @ato220  Nope. (Yet.)

  45. Hornhead Hornhead says:

That was brilliant! And the acting looks fantastic.

  46. thejetcazet thejetcazet says:

Hitler got something right, finally. Is Wizard really on the Nook?

  47. thejetcazet thejetcazet says:

@thejetcazet  Is this really what Mein Kampf was about?

  48. StPaulDoug says:

That was the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. @Lucien21: You’re kidding, right? There’s no way you can give such a snotty remark to something so funny. Please, tell me you’re kidding. This. Is. Hilarous. Thanks for posting, Josh. Totally made my day.

  49. StPaulDoug says:

I just watched the damn thing again, and it was twice as funny the second time. “I understood RIP”…really nails it. It’s 2:06 in the morning, and I’m laughing like an idiot in my basement over a Hitler comic book routine. Give me “lazy” and “tedious” any day of the week, then.

  50. Lucien21 Lucien21 says:

@StPaulDoug  That hitler meme is trotted out for everything from getting banned from x-Box live to changing the watchmen movie. From Kayne dissing Swift to Michael Jackson’s death.

It’s been totally overused and is no longer funny.

  51. Superyan Superyan says:

    Write a way out Geoff!!

  52. dezrah dezrah says:

“Stick a cape on Jonah Hex”, “My Wednesdays are free”, “Bring me Fear Itself” and “read Wizard on my Nook” have completely ressurected the “Downfall” meme. Well done sirs.

  53. SamIAm says:

You guys have just made my day. Thank you so much!

  54. JonSamuelson JonSamuelson says:

    @Lucien21  Or not…

  55. robbydzwonar robbydzwonar says:

OMG, the part about still being able to understand Batman RIP without reading Batman for the first 40 years was the best part for me!!

This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.  I never saw once of these Hitlers before so I’m kinda glad it was about the reboot this time…  Did I say that right?

What movie is this from anyway??

  56. Paul Montgomery PaulMontgomery (@fuzzytypewriter) says:

@robbydzwonar  The movie is called “Downfall.”

  57. AquaPimp82 AquaPimp82 says:

Is wrong for me to say Hitler made some valid points?

  58. Diabhol Diabhol says:

I never get tired of a good “Downfall” video. :)

  59. StPaulDoug says:

    @Diabhol, neither do I.

    @robbydzwonar, I didn’t understand a word of RIP…so this really killed me..giggling like a nut.

@Lucien21, uh, it IS FUNNY..to me, at least. EXTREMELY FUNNY. MADE MY WEEK FUNNY. I’ve seen different renditions of this clip on the web, just as you have. And to me, they’re all pretty darn entertaining. It’s just dumb fun, nothing else. So I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

  60. MBurnsOH MBurnsOH says:

Crap, Hitler and I had the same reaction.

  61. Tork Tork says:

That is one of the least profanity-laden ones I’ve seen.  Cheers.

  62. kirkjt kirkjt says:

I love “Downfall” great film and this clip is amazing.  I’ve seen it used for NCAA brackets and other catastrophic events.  However, this was the best and it kind of mimics my own feelings …

  63. Yuri01 says:

Everything I was thinking when I first heard about this massive reboot. Fear not, I expect we’ll still get a Detective Comics 900.
