CORALINE GIVEAWAYS!

We’ve got two giveaways for the iFanbase for the February 6 release of Coraline.

From Henry Selick, visionary director of THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, and based on Neil Gaiman’s international best-selling book, comes a spectacular stop-motion animated adventure – the first to be originally filmed in 3D!

Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning) is bored in her new home until she finds a secret door and discovers an alternate version of her life on the other side. On the surface, this parallel reality is eerily similar to her real life and the people in it – only much better. But when this seemingly perfect world turns dangerous, and her other parents (including her Other Mother voiced by Teri Hatcher) try to trap her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination and bravery to escape this increasingly perilous world – and save her family.

First up is a giveaway for all sorts of Coraline movie merchandise.  6
winners will be randomly chosen from the iFanboy membership ranks.  The contest will last through February 13, 2009.  Any new memberships in that time will be eligible for prizes, as well as anyone who’s already signed up.  If you’re a member, you don’t have to do anything to win.  Enter to win a fun ‘Goodie Bag’ which includes the following exclusive Coraline items:

3 Grand Prize Packs will consist of:
Coraline Video Game (Wii or PS2 formats TBD), Coraline Book, Coraline Button Key,
• Coraline Prize Pack (each pack includes A Coraline Movie Tie in Book, Coraline Button set, Coraline Pen, Coraline T-shirt, Coraline Alphabet Collector Cards, Coraline Bookmark)

3 Runner Up Packs will consist of:
• Coraline Movie Tie in Book, Coraline Button set, Coraline Pen, Coraline T-shirt, Coraline Alphabet Collector Cards, Coraline Bookmark)

Comments

  1. This looks very interesting.  I look forward to winning.

  2. Avatar photo Paul Montgomery (@fuzzytypewriter) says:

Very cool.  The film looks great!

  3. So, members don’t have to do ANYTHING? Just auto-entered? That’s cool, if so.

  4. @iGotKIttyPryde: That’s correct.  Everyone who signed up for a memebership (or who does before the contest deadline) is automatically entered.

  5. Oh and the Gaiman story I’ve already read previously and is really fantastic. It’s Lovecraft-ian Sherlock Holmes. Really quite good, it was my favorite thing in the ‘Fragile Things’ short story collection.

  6. @conor: Nice. Thanks for the quick response!

  7. I downloaded the audio story already, and it’s about 50 minutes long, so it’s definitely a nice chunk.

  8. Oooooh boy! I can’t wait for this one! The contest and the movie.

  9. "A Study in Emerald" is good stuff.  So is "We Can Get For You Wholesale" and "Murder Mysteries."  2008 was the year I realized I friggin’ love Neil Gaiman.  I even got his children’s book "The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish" he did with McKean because it was so well-written.

  10. me and my girlfriend were fortunate enough to catch an advance screening last week. It is a great movie. I wasn’t super excited to see it, but was really surprised how much i enjoyed it.

  11. this is awesome. you guys are the best

  12. very cool – its great to see you guys immediately fulfilling your promises of goodies for those who kick in some cash to become members.

  13. Yay! This is really great guys. I hope I win!

  14. Oooh fingers crossed!  I’ll take mine in Wii format, please 😉

  15. Seriously, I don’t have to do anything to enter if I’m a member? That’s the best membership ever! Is that right?

  16. kinda… really… wanna try that wii game.

  17.  My current adress is in Romania. If I win, (very small chance) you would send that here?

  18. I have to check on that.  The Coraline people will be sending out the prizes, not us.  So let me find out.  They didn’t say they wouldn’t…

  19. The PS2 game would be a lot of fun. You guys know how to do a good contest!

  20. i will consider letting you guys come round and play the game when i win it

  21. It turns out that they’ll only ship prizes to the US and CANADA.  But fear not, if our overseas members win something, we’ll figure out something.  Meaning that we’ll probably just send it to you ourselves.

  22. Excited for this film.

  23. AUTOPLAYING TRAILERS ARE EVIL!!!

  24. @josh that would be awesome assuming I win this contest.

  25. Looking forward to the Membership drawing.

    Thanks for the opportunity fellas.

  26. I’m a new member to iFanboy but a long-time Neil Gaiman fan. I have one of the editions of the "Coraline" novel in hardcover. The cover glows in the dark! It’s a lovely thing to see as I drop off to sleep at night.

I’d love to be included in the membership drawing. The only other thing I’d like more is to see a free screening of the movie in a local theater. But being picked will make up for that.

  27. The movie was so awesome!!!!
