CONTEST: Stage a Murder, Win Original SNAPSHOT Art from Jock

In Andy Diggle and Jock’s Snapshot from Image, a young comic shop clerk stumbles across a phone containing images of a grisly homicide. Things only get stranger and deadlier from there. If you missed the sold-out first issue, a second printing hits shelves on March 13th.

To celebrate the occasion, James Sime of the Isotope Comic Book Lounge in Snapshot’s hometown of San Francisco, invites you to stage a murder for prizes.

You read right.

To celebrate the success of SNAPSHOT — and as a nod to its City-by-the-Bay setting —James Sime, owner of Isotope Comic Book Lounge in San Francisco, is launching a special SNAPSHOT contest for fans of the book!

Simply take a picture of a staged “murder” on your cell phone and post it to Twitter with the hashtag #snapshotcomic or on the Tumblr page snapshotcomic.tumblr.com. The pictures will be posted on the Tumblr page, and selected fans whose pictures are posted will receive a limited edition SNAPSHOT bookplate signed by the series creators. In addition, Diggle and Jock will choose their favorite picture as the grand prize winner, who will receive a piece of original art by Jock from SNAPSHOT!

Keep in mind. Don’t, ya know, actually murder anybody. We’d advise against shadowing any local serial rippers in the hopes of capturing the winning shot either. Do it all theatrical-like. Think deep and deliver that killer photo.

Say cheese. Make us proud and woefully disturbed.

Comments

  1. This is a really cool idea! I’m interested to see the snaps people take.

  2. Same concept as ‘Random Acts of Violence’ by Palmiotti & Gray.

  3. I like it. Being a cell phone shot limits me from using my gorilla pod w my pocket camera as I have an idea where the murderer played by me is in the shot w my victim. Need a 3rd person to get that angle w a cell phone.

  4. If I commit an actual murder instead, I still qualify, right?

  5. Staging a murder for prizes is an icky idea.
