C2E2 2013: Aww Yeah Pam-Cakes! Art & Franco Summon ITTY BITTY HELLBOY

We were a little steamed a while back when we learned that Art Baltazar and Franco Aureliani’s Superman Family Adventures was headed for cancellation. Now, in the wake of that series’ final issue, we’re thrilled to see the source of the real heat.

We learned this evening that Art & Franco will bring their much beloved, endlessly effervescent style to Dark Horse with Itty Bitty Hellboy.

Here’s how Dark Horse describes the all-ages series:

A ghost named Rasputin has been spotted. And Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. are going to find out what’s he up to. Who is Hellboy, anyway? Why does he have such a big hand, and what is it used for? Who’s weirder, he or his friends? What is the B.P.R.D.? And what does chicken soup have to do with all of it? All this and more will be answered in the debut issue, where BIG things happen to Itty Bitty Hellboy!

  1. He’s so tiny!

  2. I’m pulling for a little Rasputin.

  3. I love the FOOSH!

    Adorable.

  4. . . . and that’s the last time Liz smiled.

  5. is this a mini, and ongoing, or what?

Nerdist says mini, but DH simply says new series. My guess, knowing DH, is mini series with the possibility of being a recurring series of minis.

  6. Completely unexpected, but totally awesome.

  7. I hope Roger is in this! Sorry, someone had to say it. Joking aside, this looks great and I’ll definitely be checking it out.
