BREAKING: CAPTAIN AMERICA (1990) Director’s Cut Heading to Red, White and Blu-Ray

Blu-ray.com reports that Captain America (1990) is headed to hi depth in May, just in time for July's reboot. The good news? Auteur Albert Pyun has emerged victorious in his struggle with The Man over the final cut. Pyun's vision of Captain America now contains an additional 30 minutes of character development. That's practically half an hour.

"I just…I…I feel like a MAN OUT OF TIME!"

Stars and stripes live forever, this May!

And since your LED isn't big enough to contain the pomp and circumstance, Captain America (1990) will also be screened at Montreal's Fantasia and Franklin, Indiana's B Movie Celebration in September.

Thanks to Cameron for the tip!

  2. heh, are they doing this to make the new one seem better?

  3. gotta love Ned Beatty

  4. This movie is not good. Nor is the FF. Both versions.

  5. The real question here is, how much longer do we have to wait for Dolph Lundgren’s 1990 PUNISHER to get a Blu-ray edition?

  6. How a horrible movie is getting this big of a director’s cut release is beyond me.

I second @JeffR for a big release od Lundgren’s Punisher.

  7. Boy oh boy is that some cheesy goodness!

  8. I love the original… kind of sad I dropped $30 a quality dvd version of it though.

  9. Looks horribly awesome.  I can’t wait to see it on the Netflix.

  10. I hope I can rent this because I really don’t want to own a copy.

  11. I’ll watch it, but I expect it to be horrible.

  12. Seeing Ned Beatty makes me want to go want some old episodes of Homicide.

  13. The best depcition of the Red Skull: As an Italian Nazi who has a sympathic back story. HOORAY!

  14. This movie works a lot better if you imagine it’s about the 1950s insane Captain America aka the Grand Director.
